Whats the point of bumping this? When the trade was on the table, LA was the 2 time defending champs. They were also on an 18-1 streak heading into the playoffs with bynum as the defensive anchor. Why would they have traded him?

CROFL. The same reason they traded him for Dwight. Injury prone.

They wouldn't have got DH had they traded Bynum for Melo, and Melo wouldn't be a good fit for the Lakers imho. He and Kobe both need the ball to be efficient, and both ty & lazy players at the defensive end.
