I actually just heard this one for the first time a few days ago, she's actually really amazing if you even give the song the slightest chance, it's beautiful in how the music and lyrics just mesh so perfectly...
And of course, the ACTUAL most beautiful song ever written - this is in LOVE, brahs. And the movie version is epic too...
Definitely up there.

How about beauty with some aggression mixed in, resulting in a masterpiece? This is one of Machine Head's softer songs.

Back when I played horn, I had the pleasure of playing this piece with a few orchestras.
Then of course, the all time best ( if you listen to it, you'll recognize it. I guarantee).
There's about six Damien Rice songs that are real strong contenders for this le. A few Ben Harper songs as well.
A classic is In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel.
Couldn't find a clean copy of The Flying Burrito Brothers version, but Elvis nails it . . .
