Our record has turned out to be a poisoned chalice made of fool's gold.

With the big 3 healthy and rested for the first time in years, the arrival (finally) of a serviceable big to play alongside Duncan, and some very promising young players in the mix, the Spurs had a great opportunity to re-evaluate and re-tool.

Instead, we turned our back on defense and went with Bonnerball. The wins seemed to vindicate Pop's vision of the San Antonio Suns. But basketball fundamentals always win out. Always.

We didn't do what we needed to do, what we could've and should have done. And it's on Pop.

All I want for my birthday weekend is a ing Spurs win damn it. I went to the Boston game, that didnt happen. It didnt happen tonight. My birthday is tomorrow, so they better ing pull a W out on Sunday now....

Time to turn RC and company loose on trades and dump Bonner, RJ, Dice, Tiago, Anderson along with the rest of the end of our bench for the best deal they can get and start the 5 year rebuilding process. If you have to throw-in Tony and/or Manu go for it. Manu has nothing left and is making silly ass mistakes like a New Yoyr city pastry chef making doughnuts.

No $$ from a cheap FO and no superstars = this franchise will be history in 5 yrs. The DRob and Duncan eras were the basketball gods favoring a small market. But no more.

Hate me all you want. I have believed as much as anyone for years now, but this is not some religious faith or whatever.. I call it like I see it and this team is not going far in the playoffs. Pop is why. We have all the tools to win a ring but Pops lineups will give us an early exit.

Alright, we had our run, now we are done, it's over, Spurs 1st round exit in the play-offs, they're shocking.

so I'll add my .02 to the meltdown: I know the team has had injuries, is aging but I also wonder if it's a psychological thing......perhaps they don't want to be a top seed and that explains some of what is currently happening.....
