Well look at the Celtics and Lakers last year. Boston had a 3-2 lead only to blow it cuz games 6 and 7 were in LA.
As a matter of fact, only two teams in NBA history have won the middle 3 games, which were the 04 Pistons and 06 Heat.
I think having all of your home games in the middle is tough, as it's very difficult to win 3 in a row during the Finals when going up against another championship caliber team.
If you lose one at home, you've lost HCA anyhow. If the opponent loses one at home, you are right back with HCA again. So it doesn't matter if it's three in a row or not, HCA is what it is. The 2-3-2 system is much better than that 2-2-1-1-1 stuff, in that there's way too much traveling going on (on and off the court).
With 3 in a row on the opponents floor, the burden is really on them if you are up 2-0. Being down 0-2 even going home for 3 is not a good place to be. True the non HCA team can return to the opponents floor up 3-2, but they then have to win one on the road. It's not been easy for a team to win in SA, despite the recent skid.
What he said ...even laker fans not making that assumption.
Please...
You do realize that you're in the distinct minority as a reasonable, thoughtful Lakers fan.
Umm, have you ever been downstairs Killa?
LOL well OK I am not making that assumption. Pau's knee bruise and Bynum's perpetual knee injuries make us vulnerable.
Bump
