    as long as there is no country (i'd make an exception for shania) then we should be ok....but alanis sucks....i thought we disposed of the canadians last round... :p

    Hey now people...give Will Smith some credit...he is practically one of the only male rappers who doesn't cuss...call women es and hoes...and talk about killing...he's more of a positive person...now whether he's any good is a different story...but come on...or would you rather have these little kids listening to Wait by the Ying Yang Twins...

    I'd rather have my little kids listening to Led Zepplin or some Dave Matthews. Maybe with some Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young mixed in.

    But as far as giving him credit for not cussing. Not going to do it. Music is supposed to be art, and you're not supposed to hold back during the creation of art. If Will Smith wants to do his thing without "profanity", then by all means do it. But when he tries to wear that as some badge of honor all I see is a gimmick to get suburban America to buy more of his records.

    I also like Usher's music for the same reasons. His momma makes sure he doesn't trash women in his music. I think you can have "Art" and not have to compromise yourself. I don't think you have to use profanity to get your point across.

    Gimmick or whatever, at least I can listen to him in the car with my kids and not be embarrassed or get into The Talks. And hearing highly suggestive or violent lyrics with my kids is probably about the only thing on the planet that makes me severely uncomfortable.
