80% on rottentomatoes...usually levels out +/- 5% after first couple of weeks...pretty strong opening. Still not going to see it BECAUSE they ran so many damn commercials.
Looked dumb.
Saw it today. Not mindblowing, but it was good. The CG was better than the trailers and it laid nice groundwork for sequels. There were many reviews that said the apes were better actors than the humans...this is true. Franco was just ok. If they do the sequels right it could wind up being a quality reboot.
I'm gonna see it next week. I think it would be awesome to see it from the beginning. I wonder if they would do a slow evolution or a speedy one.
The movie was way better than i thought it would be. Gollum was really ing good too.

Word. Good to see Serkis getting lots of hollywood play now. I was watching a preview thing for Planet of the Apes and Franco was complementing Serkis. Franco went on to say this type of cgi-acting hybrid stuff had never been done before....da fuk? lol
Serkis was bad ass. Franco is just ok because his part is not too big. Solid movie. Can't see any way to make good sequels, though.

It was good. Not great, but I enjoyed it. The CGI was incredibly good.

Getting kind of sick of post credit scenes, tbh. Assholes are making me wait through all these damn pointless credits to see .
Movie was a lot better then expected, but if your looking for plot holes or are allergic to them you are gonna hate some of the things that happen.
Yeah - this is a good point. You pretty much better suspend disbelief (that should go without saying for this type of movie but w/e) on a lot of things.
my friend was telling me about a silly scene where Caesar was fully communicating with a circus monkey just cause he also knew sign language. WTF? That was his only big complaint he said
