Bay is good at making action movies. Is he an Oscar winning or worthy director? No. He is good at the action genre. If you don't like action movies, go watch some gay artsy movies like Brokeback Mountain, Milk, Sideways, The Kids Are All Right, The Squid and the Whale, etc... I just laugh at people who about movies like Transformers. Why are you even wasting your time on something that you hate and won't even give a chance? If you compare Revenge of the Fallen to Dark of the Moon, then yeah there is a big difference. Dark of the Moon is awesome and Revenge of the Fallen is a little ty. If you're looking for Best Picture in Dark of the Moon, then get the out and go watch some overrated indie flick.
You can make action movies without them being like transformers 2.
Then again, this movie is obviously geared towards the fat, stupid american that is jacob1983 - I bet upon seeing another car-truck-building explosion, a jacob1983 type person turns around to his fat wife which he dragged around with him and exclaims "wow, did you just see that??!!! that car just exploded TWICE!!111".

I thought Transformers was based on a popular toyline in the 1980s.
Haven't seen the first one in a while, but this one was very entertaining. Much better than the second and maybe the best of the three.
I enjoyed it and didn't think the second was bad.
Saw it in 2D. Entertaining film. Slightly better then the first film. The rare third film that turns out to be the best in the trilogy. More action, less humor, coherent plot.

Not a Trek person so I didn't unfortunately. I thought Leonard Nimoy's voice of Sentinel Prime was badass though.

Agreed. It's almost exactly like his Master Xehanort voice from Kingdom Hearts: BBS. Nimoy makes a /damn/ good villain voice, I gotta say.

Solid movie. $17 for IMAX 3D is steep, but it was probably worth it. Didn't love it, but it was solid for what it is.

just saw the movie yesterday in 3d.. it wasn't worth the price for 3d IMO.. and that was the first time i've seen a movie in 3d lol...
but as far as the movie goes.. i liked it.. bay did learn his lesson.. the action and transforming scenes look so much better.. it doesn't look like clustering silverware when the machines transform..
and to the geeks talking about fox and this carly chic.. quit talkin' out y'all's asses.. they're both waaaaay outta y'all's leagues..

Just saw the movie. It was pretty good. Way better than Revenge of the Fallen.
The story this time was better and the new girl is also ok. (for me better than Fox)
Right now I'd say this one is #2 on my list. I'm sure it's better than ROTF, but I still think T1 was a little bit better. Need to see it again.
