To be honest, I was HUGELY disappointed with Bonner in this series. I thought he would go off against two slow bigs like ZBo and Marc, but if he isn't capable of hitting threes against those two in the playoffs, there's no hope for Matt Bonner on any playoff team. He is still a GREAT weapon to have for the regular season though... which no longer interests me.

I still don't think my main point was way off though... Bonner is such a good regular season player that I wanted to get a larger playoff sample size to have a better judgement of if he was good or not in the playoffs. We now have the sample size that says Bonner is no more than a situational playoff player.

All along I've said Tiago should be our third big, Matt fourth, Dejuan 5th. Only thing I'd change is Dejuan 4th, Bonner 5th.
Neither guarded him, really, which is really the point...

I wouldn't mind him having the 5th big role... I just don't see Pop doing it though.

At this point I'd rather have someone like Tony Massenberg be our 5th man. (Not literally but figuratively). Matt can be the 6th.

No, we did not have the sample size because in 09 and 10 playoffs at least one of our big 3 was injured.

2011 all our big 3 were playing big minutes and relatively healthy, and I saw all I needed to.

thats the only reason ive been saying pop needs to go clearly he has horrible judgement these days, and cant be trusted with regular season/playoff rotations! i mean tiago came in the summer and pop did absolutely nothing with the guy theres no excuse for that.

thats something a moron does, im sorry but pop is not a genius he's just a lucky bas who is arrogant as now.he needs to be fired asap, and im telling you guys right now i have a feeling bonner is going to be the least of our problems next year were going to be begging pop to gtfo of here.

mark my words its only going to get worse (pops arrogance/insanity) unless he swallows his pride..does anyone see that happening>? FOR ALL WE KNOW BONNER COULD START NEXT YEAR i dont put it past pop

He didn't sabotage the series, but his shooting was awful. Just shows that 3's don't work too well in the playoffs.

Hopefully RJ and Bonner are traded.

Don't worry about the percentages, Bonner will play for Pop as long as Pop is coach, and when he's done as a player he'll be an excellent assistant coach.

What does the health of the big three have to do with Bonner's nuts shriveling to the size of raisins in the playoffs? Everyone with a brain saw that two years ago, nothing has changed. Guys either have it or they don't.

Told you so! I predicted this EXACTLY when popovich resigned Boner to a multi-year deal after two years of absolutely pathetic performance in the playoffs. I was laughing at you people who were claiming Boner would just be a 10 min player.

I knew Popovich was finished when he benched Bowen in favor of Finley. The guy is a ing joke now.

I was for a confident coach, someone who wants to play players that are tough. I guess ill keep wishing.

I would go back and bump all the threads where people predicted this from Bonner, but I don't think our servers could handle the load.

The only person who didn't seem to see it coming (or acknowledge it) was Pop. , he's probably still clinging to the fact that Bonner hit a few big threes (which ultimately didn't help us), despite the fact that the guy is a complete liability when he is shooting that poorly from the arc.
