This is a must win for the Mavs. I've said this before and I will say it again, the Mavs can't let the Lakers have any hope. Dirk must be a beast and go to the basket. The Mavs have to be aggressive and put the Lakers in the ground in my opinion.

Referee Assignments
Sun. May 8
L.A. Lakers @ Dallas: Scott Foster; Ron Garretson; Jason Phillips
Alternate: Derrick Collins
No Joey, no Benny, no ...should be a fairly called game.
Opened up my Dallas Morning News and the sports page has a large Blue broom. With Laker players getting swept up.
A huge part of me just want this season over so Mitch can go to work once the CBA is fixed ...
But a sweep would be tough to swallow. This series appears over, a Lakers win or not. Only thing a win today (and even in 5) is show we went down with a "fight". I know the games have been close and Dallas is better, this Series is over.

Heart says sweep.
Head says LA wins Games 4 and 5, then gets blown out in Game 6. Mavs in 6.
Yer covered no matter what happens.![]()
I am very, very interested to see how Kobe plays/responds. He has proven to be a quitter before to prove a point, so it will be interesting what he has planned for today. Like I said, I would not at all be surprised to see Kobe go way overboard and get Pau like 28 shots today. I can see him literally forcing the ball into him to every time to prove a point and say "we do what you say and we lose".
I will be watching closely.
He ain't lost over consecutive Junes.
Not really...the Mavs could win in 5, or the series could go 7 games...you never know, son...
Well, he won last June, so...![]()
Kobe has quit on his guys before so you have to question it. It's legit. I'll be watching.
DPG getting his "pscho-analysis" on ...
Wont mess with you today DPG, don't want you to think I got beef.
But I do hate when media guys say bull like that. They dont know Kobe any better than I do. The quitter part well, Kobe has to eat that sandwich as do his fans. Because of Game 7 vs. Phoenix (though others argue he did not quit...whatever).
But that, would be akin to saying I should go watch Game 6 Spurs vs. Grizz because Duncan is a known loser. One game proves little. Kobe has played over 15 seasons. Today proves little. Should Lebron be judged for the game last night or the elbow game.? Yes, it's part of the story but just a chapter.
But go ahead, I will be calling out everyone else with my arm-chair psychology as well ...![]()
nicely done.
Duncan is not known as a loser though. Quitting is the one thing that is a no-no in professional sports. Kobe did it. I'm not saying he is "known" for quitting, but I simply said this seems like the same type of moment under which he would quit to prove a point (a la the Suns game).
For the most part, one game doesn't prove much, especially when it comes to wins/losses because everyone loses games. Not everyone quits like Kobe did and that is the difference. Just something to watch for.

MJ quit as well. Pippen too. Rodman quit with your Spurs. The list is long.
Yup...and Kobe's on it...![]()
***Sorry about the triple posts. Damn keyboard***
