Disappointing way to end the season but nah...Rose isn't overrated. He just got wore down in the end...too much heaped on that kid's shoulders. He's a 22 year old kid with a great work ethic. Minus Boozer the future is bright for this team. Once the Bulls get a legit 2nd option who can fill in that scoring role when needed they'll be there in the end.
As Taj develops his offensive game, it SHOULD push Boozer out the door. What a bad signing. Rose'll be back.

And what the does that have to do with Rose needing to learn the PG position? If you want Rose to be the primary scorer because he doesn't have enough offensive threats, then move him to SG. The Bulls offensive flow/tempo with Rose running the point is atrocious. Yes the kid is physically gifted, and the best player on the team by far, but that has nothing to do with my statement.
    Do you even watch basketball?

Who would play point for the Bulls? Watson is a shoot-first PG. Rose is not a natural shoot-first PG although the if you just look at the amount of shot attempts you would think otherwise. Like I said, Rose had all of the offensive responsibility for the Bulls, unlike Lebron or Dwayne Wade or Chris Bosh.

a one-man offense against a great defensive team, guarded by probably the best perimeter defender in the game.

    What a shock he struggled.

Boozer is turrible. That signing is the only thing that could keep the Bulls from being perennial contenders for the next 5 years. It's going to be hard to upgrade their roster offensively because no one wants Boozer and he takes up so much cap space. Not to mention, they are going to have to up Rose's salary in a couple of years.

I dreaded that signing the moment I heard it. I actually screamed WHY!! I've been killing Boozer on this board since '08 and his play in the playoffs illustrated why. At least he finished the season where he belonged in the first place

Oh come on. The subject of Boozer

I remember at the end of the season anaylist arguibing whether Boozer was the signing of the summer. There is no #1 record, ECF, MVP, Coach of the Year without Boozer's signing

The East might shake up even more next year, I don't know if we could have just waited for next year. There might be a lockout anyway

IMO, we had no choice with Boozer. Who were the other options?

Don't know the Bulls financial situation, or at least what it was at the time, but Amare would've been a good look........a VERY expensive look with a team that hasn't always s ed out a lot of money but a good look nonetheless.

Boozer's not a traditional post player and relied heavily on the PnR/PnP in Utah to generate offense. The fact that Rose draws a great amount of attention on defense even on misses opens up opportunities for him to get easy putbacks and the smaller bigs Miami placed on him helped him in the rebounding department in this series. He's no 2nd option and shouldn't be looked to as such imo.

Rose is going to get better, I'm 100% sure of this. He's a 3rd year guard with a pretty low ball IQ at the moment so this is expected.

I said it time and time again, Rose did not deserve that MVP trophy, it wouldve been much better if they gave it to Dwight or Lebron, those two were the best players in the game.

Stupid media and their need for story.

If I remember correctly Amare signed with the Knicks first. Boozer was the consolation for missing on Bron

Without Boozer the Bulls probably finish 3rd or 4th in the East (Remember Noah was injured for a good portion) so Bulls would have lost in the 2nd Round of the playoffs

Bulls still have 11 million free. That's a starting SG in this league.

Would picking up Richard Hamilton's contract had put them over the Heat? I don't think so

David Lee would have been a better option over Boozer.

It's the Most VALUABLE Player award not the Best Player of the Year award

How could you give James who is teamed with Wade/Bosh/Miller and had a lesser record with many more long losing streaks, the MVP?

You could argue James was on a superior team this year and had less team wins than last year. Bulls upped' their win total by like 21

I'm guilty of overrating him too, but most of us would have too, considering how he led the Bulls to the ECF.

Teams like Miami give Rose fits. Speedy teams with length are his match.

They gambled on Wade and Bron rather than looking into Amare and got Boozer as a result. The Hamilton situation was stopped by Rich himself when Cleveland was about to make the deal that would have ultimately made him available after being released......he's played a similar role to the one Korver was given but has had pretty good success in the playoffs and can create his own shot at times.

The Bulls won games in the 2nd round of the playoffs against the Hawks with Boozer on the bench in the close of the 4th. Noah was injured but Asik stepped up big in that time span as well. The bigger point for Chicago moving forward will be the development of Taj imo who was removed from the starting role when Boozer came in.

Point taken. Lebron is not as valuable as Wade in the regular season. But I think it was a wash between Rose and Dwight though. But whatever, water under the bridge. The media loves this kid so its definitely not going to be his last like Iverson.

I've thought for quite a while he's been a bit overrated, much like Tony Parker when he first started to get good. Great penetrator and finisher, but cant shoot, and good teams can shut him down when neccesary.

If he develops a consistent jumper though... watch out.
