Prayers for timvp please

Some of you might know, but for the many who don't -- my husband (timvp) has been in the hospital for two weeks.

What seemed like the flu a month ago, progressed into a massive liver abcsess (over 5 inches wide), pneumonia/lung infection and more caused by a very unusual bacteria. Last Monday in ICU, the doctors told us that he might not make it. As you can imagine, it was a really rough time for us. Through his strength and the support of many people, he began making baby steps of progress.

He fought through the days and nights -- trying hard to force air into his lungs to keep them going and to get the infection out of his body.

Now, things are improving day by day. We have some final hurdles to get through, so that's why I'm asking now for prayers and good thoughts from the SpursTalk family.

It should go without saying, but this thread is absolutely not a place to troll. We need him well. He has a wife, three babies, and plenty of other friends and family who want and need him to be healthy.

Kori and LJ adopting 3 kids and thus replacing a huge strike against each of them with a loving family and a great start in life instead is pretty extraordinary. I think it goes pretty far above and beyond what society would expect of someone, and hence the line you quoted.

I don't know him in person but he seems to be (along with his wife) a great human being and an amazing writer too.
However, I still don't understand why we would not deserve him.

Anyway, it's clearly not the place for trolling so let's just hope he'll fully recover very soon for his kids and wife

Situations like this always bring a new perspective on life. He's lucky to have the support of his family motivating him throughout this process. I've got faith in timvp to keep on pushing in his recovery, and I have twice the faith in Kori to do everything to see him return to full health. Thoughts and prayers with the Ellis fam...
