Thats how us Spurs fans felt against Memphis last year, worst possible matchup...
I meant after that series with the Suns. But yeah, Rodman gets a lot of blame for some reason

2006. Spurs easily mop the floor with Phoenix/Miami.
Only difference being the Spurs weren't contenders regardless of who they played.
2007 Suns reincarnated
2003 kind of hurts too. Horry couldn't hit a shot even if his life depended on it. Then the Spurs go in Staples and absolutely murder the Lakers in the second half of Game 6.
Ah the crying game, one of my favorite moments as a Spurs fan. Not because of the crying necessarily but because they finally beat Phil's Lakers and Duncan laid a fat dookie on Shaq's chest in Game 6.
'92-'93
If Paxson had missed in gm 6 we would've won gm 7 and ed up MJ's first 3-peat.
95, only if the Spurs had a guy who could hit wide open shots.
Exactly, nobody in the NBA was taking Dallas down anyway.
Bulls win easily in game 7 if that happened. But you knew that the Bulls would find a way to win game 6. Maybe it was closer than they wanted but it was a pretty comfortable series for the Bulls. Similar to Portland the year before. The Knicks were the toughest team for the Bulls in the early years.
As a Mavs fan, of course the 06 finals. But after that, its a toss up between the Golden State series in 07, or the Spurs series in 03. If they win either of those series, they would absolutely have won the championship.
Nah. Spurs win in 1995 and it's likely the only le we have because Timmy would be a Celtic or something
Not 'my team' per se, but I always felt cheated that I didn't get to see the Pacers versus the Jazz in either 1998 or 1997.
I guess, if you consider that my father is a HUGE Karl Malone fan and I am a HUGE Reggie Miller fan, I guess you can consider the Pacers my team in that case...

No, the 2007 Suns were better, or at least were in a better position to win it all. They would have beaten anyone who came out of the East- they certainly would have beaten Cleveland.
Whereas the 2011 Spurs would have lost to each of the top three East teams, not to mention either the Lakers or the Mavericks at least.
is that why so many spurfans were predicting a 5 game series?
I would also liked to have seen the 05 Heat make the Finals, as they were a better team than the '05 Pistons or the '06 Heat, and would have made the 2005 Finals much more compe ive... They are one of my favorite team structures of all time. Built purely inside out, with a slasher bridging the gaps...
look at this classless Mav Fan. I once set foot in the city of Dallas and i could just feel the classlessness rub off on me once i was in the city limits. (Worst city in the US). You are no exception. It's people like you that are the reason the Mavs will never get more rings than big brother
my thoughts exactly.
idk how much more compe ive one would expect from a series that went to 7 games with the last one going down to the wire
Because the Pistons were over-matched by the Heat in '05, and just managed to eek by against an injured D-Wade, they entered into the Spurs series exhausted. Had there been no team of the Heat's quality, the Pistons might have had enough left in the tank to finish game 1 off with a victory, and perhaps would have lead to a realistic shot at beating the Spurs. But had the Heat made it with a healthy D-Wade, even had the ECF taken 7 games, I think they would have made it a much closer (game to game) 7 game series, if not taken it outright in 6.
It was comfy for the Bulls in gm's 1 and 2...thats it.

They were copying the idiot national media.
yall mav s saying 03' are delusional homers, the fact that most of u saying that turn around and talk about the 11' spurs makes it that much more hilarious
they were a nelly coached team with horrible defense, they had as much of a chance to win it all as the 05-07 suns or 11' spurs did...they were well on their way to going down 3-1 in the series when dirk went down. if anything that injury revitalized the team and gave them an extra boost, and it gave van exel who went ape a bigger role. not to mention the spurs gave up like a 20 pt lead in game 1 and did the same in game 5. the allas mavs stood no chance at all!
The Spurs were better than the Mavs in '07. People underrated that Spurs team, because the Mavs finished 9 games better, but the Spurs had the better expected record by 3 games, a significantly better point differential, better defense and the best player.
The Spurs were also better than the Mavs in '06. It took historically awful officiating and them shooting themselves in the foot for them not to advance. But again, they had a better point differential, a better expected record by 3 games, significantly better defense and the best player.
