LMAO
Coming from the people who think Israel should just regulate on it's neighbors... Un ing believable.
Okay. I think that's a short-sided view of geopolitical affairs but, it's your view.
Israel has already taken out Syrian and Iranian nuclear capabilities once. And, if you think the Assad and the Ayatollah would only have used them on Israel; look at the terrorist groups they sponsor.
Israel is an outpost at the gates of . They need all the support they can get.
LMAO
Coming from the people who think Israel should just regulate on it's neighbors... Un ing believable.
Israel has military capabilities that are unreal given how little people live in Israel. They could turn the middle east into a parking lot if they wanted to, they don't need our help. They didn't need our help in the 6 day war when they skull ed 3 countries at once. All we do by supporting Israel is waste money and give terrorists another reason to hate us.
Given how often they've been attacked, they need them.
They may have to; and, since we have a vital interest in the region and Israel remaining a viable nation, I'd say our alliance and the attendant commitments are warranted.
I don't think they manufactured the arms or created the supply lines that enabled them to "skull " 3 countries at once.
Again, we have a national interest in the region and given the plethora of excuses those who hate us use for their various acts of barbarity, one reason is as good as another with them.
If the attacks don't stop, what do you see as their options?
Their arms were bought from France at the time. The 6 day war was before America had any involvement with Israel. A country full of smart ass Jews can barter and get weapons without our help.
Why do we have such a vital interest in the middle east? We have enough problems in our country. We shouldn't be worrying about the middle east.
This.
Plus I don't see the attacks stopping regardless, short of leveling the entire ME. Which really isn't an option unless you're dumb, yoni or WC.
If the attacks don't stop after regulating them, what do you see as their options?
The Jews and the Muslims have had fights going back for thousands years. There's no magical way that region will find peace. As long as Israel is surrounded by predominantly Islamic countries with Islamic Extremism having a presence in all of them, there will be violence.
Take out the sponsor's. Hamas, Syria, and Iran.
Seriously, this death by a thousand cuts has gone on long enough. I sense a reckoning on the horizon.
I heard a pretty succinct description of the problem today:
Paraphrasing: "If 'Palestinians' laid down their arms today and swore off violence, there'd be peace tomorrow. If Israel laid down their arms today and swore off violence, there'd be genocide tomorrow."
I don't think they've face a more dangerous time in their history.
And the violence doesn't stop, then what?
You mean this isn't as simple as just come out with guns blazing? Who would've thought?![]()
Escalate until it does.
I believe Israel faces an existential threat. I wouldn't blame them for scorching the Earth to insure survival.
How many civilians should die due to this "escalation"?
I mean, the terrerists won't show up and fight.
Even if the ratio between civilians and terrerists is 2:1, that's an awful lot of civilians.
You wouldn't, but the rest of the world would.
The Israelies are a lot smarter than what you give them credit for.
So, how much longer should Israel tolerate the persistent, constant threats of annihilation?
The constant, persistent lobbing of rockets into their cities?
The suicide bombers?
Backpack bombs thrown onto buses and into market places?
Just curious.
Because, I think the Israelis are reaching a breaking point.
I would suspect Israel knows the answer to that question and acts accordingly. It's not like this is something new to them.
What makes you think you know better than them?
Based on what?
But, I asked you for the answer to that.
My gut.
The PA has told the world, give us statehood or we'll start killing Jews. As if they would do otherwise, even if they did achieve statehood.
My answer is that Israel knows what it's doing.
Then there's nothing to worry about.
A comedian I really enjoy, Anthony Jeselnik, told a story about a show he did in Great Barrington, MA. Anthony tells a joke about suicide, only to be met by a dead silence in the crowd before a gentleman stands up and says "Great Barrington is the suicide capital of the country, that's not funny."
Anthony ponders for a moment on how to react and realizes he has 3 options.
1) Apologize and say he had no clue, otherwise he would have never told that joke. Not really his style, Athony decides.
2) Point out the obvious. Everyone in Great Barrington, MA should move.
Eventually Anthony decided to go with option number 3, so he looked out upon the crowd and said... Great Barrington, MA - the best thing about it is that the suicide rate is a lot lower than it should be.
Never thought that story had ties to Israel/Palestine until now.
Remember when Zionists killed westerners in order to achieve statehood?
You probably don't, but it looks like it worked.
Yoni is like a bunch of other Americans who want to believe they are living in the end times.
lol reckoning
Reminds me of a joke...
An infinite number of mathematicians walk into a bar. The first one tells the bartender he wants a beer. The second one says he wants half a beer. The third one says he wants a fourth of a beer. The bartender puts two beers on the bar and says, “You guys need to learn your limits.”
All of their options are bad but the absolute dumbest would be to go Rambo on the ME.
Assume for a second that they did and kicked everyone's ass, do you honestly believe that the violence would stop or even lessen?
If your country was invaded by anyone for any reason, would you not fight back?
You're right but, the first Jihad against the Jews was launched in April 1920.
Religion makes people dumb and violently oppositional to other worldviews, any religion, Muslim, Jewish, Christian, Hindu.
There will never be security and peace for Israel.
Pretty much sums it up...
