    Because he expected Fisher, who's shooting terribly this year, to miss and send the game into overtime. You could argue, "Well, why didn't Kobe simply miss the last shot on purpose if that was his intent." The reason he didn't is because he knew the way he was shooting he probably winds up accidentally making the mother er.
