New CBA disallows that.
I doubt it since they still have Blake.
TJastal is stupid as dumb ass saying "Green is stronger then Leonard". smh
New CBA disallows that.
And dont forget our bench almost singlehandedly taking them to over time which should of been a win for us if it wasn't for the ball being on danny green's fingertips.
Solid game from Green. Again, I get that he's overrated by GNSF, but GNSF is re ed. He's inconsistent but I've always liked his intensity and activity on defense and while crashing the boards. Those are thing you can always count on. I also like that he's comfortable and confident in this system on both ends of the floor; he's not a guy that gets down on himself. He knows this role, seems to have good chemistry with everyone and works his butt off.
If he stays focused I think he can end up being a solid rotation player.
It's amazing what any athlete can do when put in the right situation and is brimming with confidence. Green had a great game tonight. Nothing more and nothing less. He's making his share of mistakes but is an ever-improving player. He's got a role on this team, a place in thie rotation and is the primary reason Anderson has been made all but expendable. More importantly, Pop loves him. Let's not overrate him, but let's also give him his due when he performs well.
I thoroughly enjoyed his 3 in tha corner right in front of the Thunder bench, and the fist pump right after. It wasn't so much a showboating move, but a "thank that went in" gesture.
Green demonstrates that playing with confidence can make a difference in how good a player is. He doesn't have tons of athleticism but is able to make a difference. He's a poor man's Manu Ginobili.
Josh Howard. No way in that guy would've survived here. Glad Green didnt go anywhere

Yeah that was a scary rumor.
I said they were both capable defenders of Durant.
Actually that sounds a lot like I was endorsing Leonard as the best choice. Damn guess you're wrong again. Imagine that.
I'm not talking about you saying if Green could guard Durant or not, I was saying how stupid you are for saying Green is stronger than Leonard. And your boy Pop didn't agree with you it seems, I didn't see Green on Durant once.
And again going by your logic Green is stronger then Howard as well, anybody will tell you by its way obvious Leonard is bigger/stronger then Green.
So now I'm stupid for pointing out a difference in strength? Why, does it bother you or something?
And? I agreed Leonard was the favorable choice. All I maintain is that Green is also a capable backup defender. Something you don't seem to want to acknowledge.
No you're stupid for ignoring the fact that Danny Green also had more reps then Howard, going by that logic Green is stronger then Howard right?
Back then, yes. You think Howard was built like he is now back then? That took DH years to get that big thanks to an extremely intense weightlifting regime.
Here's a pic of the very skinny Howard on draft night:

Regardless he'd still be stronger then Green, you can't read too deep into those, it's mostly effort rather then actual strength.
I agree it doesn't mean he's flat out a better defender than Khawi (and I never said that) but give the guy his due credit. He is the 2nd best we got currently for handling the Durant assignment and could be counted on if Leonard got into foul problems.
As far as Green being physically more powerful that was really just superflous to the main argument. While it may not help him against a finesse player like Durant it could certainly enable him to excel in other matchups, such as physical guards like Wade & Kobe. IIRC George Hill used do quite well when matched up against Kobe, and Green is built much the same way.
And speaking of fouls, its worthy of note that Khawi Leonard had a grand total of 1 foul in 39 minutes of action.
This guy continues to make me eat crow about him. That is huge given the fact that Durant normally lives on the line against most teams. Keep the thunder off the line and they become fairly easy to beat.
Lol, he is expendable. Where are these threads when he goes 0-7 from the floor with 4 or 5 turnovers?
I'll give Green his credit today he just took what the defense game him & burned them for it, but his individual defense isn't really good, & he's just way too small to guard Durant.
When Kobe posted up George instead of settling, then that match up was a mismatch. I'd much rather have Leonard guard Kobe because of his size & length, I'm not sure Green would fare to well at all, he's just not smart enough, I'd see Kobe having a field day with him on ball fakes.
You should've seen how Chris Paul was abusing him now imagine Kobe...
Okay, we understand. Leonard = god in your view. Let's just give the other guys a teency bit of credit here. Guys like Kobe and Chris Paul aren't exactly easy to guard, ya know?
And Green was having problems with screens earlier this year, but it appears he is learning quickly on the fly. Green seems anything but "dumb" to me. A very cerebral player IMO. Perhaps I'm watching a different Danny Green.
And we know from past history that Bowen even had problems trying to stay with Chris Paul. I'm fairly sure he would have made Leonard look pretty foolish as well (or perhaps not). Should be interesting to see if he draws point guard assignments in the future. Unfortunately for Green, he was handed the assignment and he failed. I bet a lot of guys can say "I guarded Chris Paul and I failed". How about that.
Brush up on yo B Ball knowledge nut licker![]()
Its called the triangle offense and they don't run it anymore. Of course Fisher is going to suck when he plays in PG in a more traditional pick and roll set. Its the same reason Kerr really couldn't play in our offense.
This is a fact that should be kept in mind
I do not think for any reason he will be a star- but the kid has potential to be a starter in the NBA and a great complimentary player on a le team
If the Spurs can luck into another superstar having Leonard and Green as compliments will go a long way in the future.
It looks like a young Stephen Jackson.
Bowen's issues on Chris Paul are from the last couple of years Bowen was in the league when he had obviously lost a step or two. Bowen at 37 is slower than Paul at 24 isn't a surprise The 06 and 07 seasons were a little different though you could see the slowing Bowen resorting to more head games and semi-cheap jabs against quicker perimeter players.
I'm not sure than either Green or Leonard can adequately man guard Chris Paul or any other elite point-guard right now. You've got a guy who is going to be a solid rotation player in Green who is still within his first 82 games as a player, and Leonard who I see as being a borderline all star every year in a couple of years, as a true rookie. So shame in rookies looking mediocre against 27 year old all stars entering their prime. Its how they look against that same match up in 2 years. If they are compe ive they are doing really well.
