For the record, I don't think it'd be easy to play through a bone bruise. From what I've read those are significantly more painful than your regular bruise or swelling. He's obviously not faking his injury and he hasn't missed much time this season so I'd be cool with sitting him out a couple if need be.

As a Spurs fan I just think that since it's the playoffs and it's his non-shooting hand he needs to put a cast on it and play because the alternative is Blair (and nobody wants that to happen).

Tyson Chandler suffered a severe bone bruise to his left wrist earlier this year. He didn't miss a game. And that was the regular season.

But yeah, I'd rather Splitter sit then go out there and play tentatively. DeJuan Blair is an adequate fill-in versus the Jazz. As long as Pop avoids playing Blair and Bonner together, the Spurs should be fine without Splitter for a game or maybe two.
