Clips got what they wanted. Now they need to take care of things at home.

Oh . Totally forgot about Caron Butler's injury. Clippers are undersized on the perimeter as it is, and without him to check Gay/Mayo (lol Bobby Simmons), they're going to have some problems.

In that case, Memphis by 8+.

Clippers main problem is that they lived by the 3 today, and now they aren't making those shots

And no Butler. He's their best perimeter defender.

Grizz ain't anything to write home about, honestly. If they make it to the next round, Spurs should handle them in 6 games tops.

I wouldn't write off the Grizzilies, they have good defenders and assuming Z-bo won't step up again is being a little too optimistic. A very balanced team that will probably gel more as the playoffs progress

Chris Paul is getting chippy with players, trying to draw a T from somebody like a

I posted this in another thread on the same thing:

I would never wish injury on another player but Chris Paul makes it hard to watch the game. Dude drops to the ground when the ball is stolen from him, gets right back up and starts chopping with Baraka arms at the ball blatantly in front of the ref, which they usually don't call a foul, then drops to the floor again trying to draw a charge while pulling the guy down on top of him.

If it happened every so often, it wouldn't be so bad. But this guy does this all game long. The worst part is the guy is such a good point guard he should have to resort to this stuff all the time.

Manu gets a bad wrap for flopping (which he doesnt even do that much anymore) but he has never punched someone in the nuts during a game. How does nobody call Paul out?

He won't have the luxury of matching up with DeJuan Blair this time.

It didn't really help putting Duncan on him either, so is Diaw going to do work?

Didya watch the game? Memphis won because Clippers were hacking players instead of playing real defense and settled for jumpers 90% of the time.

Splitter, who's the Spurs second best interior defender and probably their best man post defender at this point considering Duncan's age. Jefferson and Milsap are better bigs than Randolph right now and the Spurs had little problem containing them, without Splitter.

Clippers are also down 2 starters. I think Billups is pretty replaceable, since the Clippers have 2 players who are of similar size and play style, but Butler's absence really affected their perimeter defense, which was already undersized beforehand.

The Grizzlies wing players (Gay, Mayo, and Allen) combined for 51 points on 19-35 shooting.
