Is Fossil considered cool or nice? I don't wear watches, never have, but I was under the impression that Fossil was like the high school kids watches. Kind of like the "Sketchers" of watches.
Fossil watches have quite the variety. While not luxury (don't make many $200+), they're still too expensive to be called 'Sketchers', imo. But I can see why you say that, I find a lot of teens rocking Fossil nowadays.

pretty silver and black Fossil for me. Definitely folding clasp. I can't stand the buckle type like it's a belt for my wrist

Got it at the Macy's in La Cantera and only for looks tbh. I'll sometimes catch myself still looking at my phone for the time while I have it on

I love watches! It is the only form of jewelry a man should wear. I have several Coach leather strap black and brown watches. Very classy look. I have a couple of stainless steel Kenneth Cole pieces as well. I just got this one last Christmas and I love it.

You have good taste my brother 'coz I have the same watch, mine has black leather straps though.

My grandpa gave me a Rolex Submariner from the late 60s. I never wear it though, I never was much for watches.

Patek Philippe Triple Date Chrono. 18K gold case. Black dial. Gator band. All business. No bull "ice" or "bling." Nothing I like more than to throw this watch into the faces of wannabe "ballas" brandishing their Rolexes like it's something special.

They look at my piece and say, "Your ain't got no ice, . See dis here? Look at dis sparkle. Diddy got one jus' like it. Paid 60K for dis . Your watch look like something you get at Target. Watcha pay for it? A benjamin?" I tell them I got bottles of champagne more expensive than their Rolex and explain to them the cost of my watch is comparable to that of their Ferrari 458 they think they're such hot for owning. They get all meek and reply, "For real? That watch cost much as my ride?" I look at them, and with as much smugness as I can muster, I say, "Try 3 of your rides."

(If you're wondering how I happened to be in proximity to the kind of black person who can afford 60K watches and Ferraris, I'm a movie producer and our studio is always trying to manufacture some rapper into the next big Hollywood star.)

I'm not hating on them or anything; I've seen nice ones. I was just surprised at how many people responded that they have them (for some reason I envision most posters responding as somewhat older).

Anyone know about the one watch I do own? Never wear it, but was a gift from pops.

I don't know what it's considered b/c I could give a if anyone else likes them or thinks they're nice.

    But...

Fossil to me has some awesome watches, are high quality, and if the watch needs repair, all you need to do is go to your local Fossil and they'll fix it right up for you.

    Works for me.

From someone who knows about about watches: is the g-shock a good watch (just overall) and considered pretty stylish? I am thinking about getting one for my brother who likes watches and the purpose of this one would be a sportier watch he can wear while golfing and such.

    Thanks in advance..

I asked my gf for this one for xmas - if she doesn't get it for me I'll probably get it myself. I ing hate having to check my phone for the time. Been a few years since I wore one regularly and am ready to retire my old watch (Guess)

g-shocks are good, durable watches. i have about 10 of them mainly for work. their thing now is all these badass color schemes and back lighting. can't go wrong with a g-shock. price range is between $50 for a plane jane one to $600 for one of those "special edition" ones.
