Funny because none of us really knew about him when drafted. All we heard was that he was a winner, a great kid/compe or and that he had potential.

I'm just gonna sit back and appreciate this. Spurfan has no idea how good we have it right now.
I saw him play twice against my Lobos last year and a couple of his games against BYU and I could have never predicted him being this good. Its just amazing.
I have no words to describe the way Kawhi has performed this season and these playoffs. This is special--had no clue he would blossom the way he has.
Oh, and the consummate Spur by remaining humble? Out-stonefacing Tim mother ing Duncan? Get outta here--Spurfan has no idea just how blessed we are right now.

I've never had an avatar besides TD but Kawhi is getting some serious consideration.....
He makes me wish I followed him in college. I remember having serious questions about his game after the draft and pre-season. I questioned his motor, athleticism and ball handling.
I can't remember a rookie making this big of an impact on a serious contender that wasn't a Duncan-type; even then it's difficult to come up with any.

He makes me really glad we got rid of RJ. KL is a compe or on both ends. RJ was pretty much useless if he wasn't scoring.
Saw Kawhi play today live at staples dude is a boss he just shut up all those clipper fans in that one stretch were he took over the game.
He didn't play like this outside of the rebounding in college. In college he would just overpower everyone.
The thing about Kawhi is that he's imrpoved so much and so dramatically through the season that its hard to know where his ceiling is. If he somehow added a mid range game, watch out.
I try not to buy into the hype of a guy who's the 4th or 5th option most times on the court but he definitely has the makings of a player who can put you over the top while being a role player (ala Robert Horry etc etc).
I'm still not sold that he's ever going to be a "star" but I think he'll always be a player that people want on their team.
