heat fans would fear us Triple D, just wish it doesn't happen in real because if it does, the 12' le would be a one-and-done deal for you all ers
two superstars just not enough to challenge the heat and there's a strong possibility that the team will suck ass due to the lack of chemistry, especially if/when the team is based in the NY metro![]()
I was not comparing anyone,I was just trying to show you how perspective can change...For 12 years in the league,Dirk is a soft choker..His teammates step up in '11,and he's the league's best big man.
Besides,Howards was going bananas on Heat every time, but had zero help...Now he'd have JJ,D Will and Crash..Not that I think it's possible to get that team, but still..
But one person briefed on the talks described Orlando's posture with regard to trading Howard as "unhurried." The Magic still hold leverage over Howard, who at some point must work with the team on a mutually beneficial exit strategy. Howard surrendered his leverage in March when he waived his early-termination option for 2012-13, and with it his right to become a free agent this summer.
Indeed, according to another person briefed on the matter, there is little optimism even from Howard's camp that the Nets can put together a realistic package for the All-Star.
After using most of its cap space to acquire Johnson and re-sign Gerald Wallace to a four-year, $40 million deal, Brooklyn seemed out of the Howard trade sweepstakes Monday night. In fact, Howard's camp was deflated upon learning that the Nets had decided to move on with the Johnson scenario rather than wait for Orlando to engage them in trade talks for Howard.

LOL Magic. Like I said it's a lot of moving parts, it did sound pretty exciting in theory and i thought Maybe the Magic just wantd be done with, Dwight. but if they just want young assets, Rockets do have more to offer. I like Brooks but is he really offer THAT much more in upside than Lamb. I like White and Jones but neither screams star to me. Honestly no deal for Dwight offers ALL that teh Magic want. Might require 3 team deal ...
LOL Dwight and the Magic ...what a bunch of dumbasses opting in was foolish.

The Nets and the Magic are discussing a trade that would send Howard to the Nets for Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries, MarShon Brooks and the Nets' first-round picks in 2013, 2015 and 2017, sources said. Lopez and Humphries, who are both free agents, would go to Orlando in sign-and-trade deals.
The move would be the Nets' second blockbuster trade this week and could give them a big three of Howard, Deron Williams and Joe Johnson that could rival the NBA champion Miami Heat's heralded trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
In fact, the Nets would actually have a Big Four as they move into their first season in Brooklyn. Sources said that forward Gerald Wallace has agreed to a four-year, $40 million deal.
On Monday, the Nets agreed to terms with the Atlanta Hawks on a trade that sends Johnson to Brooklyn for the expiring contracts of Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro, Anthony Morrow and Jordan Williams, plus DeShawn Stevenson and the 2013 first-round pick they acquired from Houston.
The Nets are still waiting on Williams to tell them whether he will re-sign with them as a free agent, but sources say Williams was pleased with the trade for Johnson, so he is expected to stay. An additional trade for Howard would undoubtedly seal the deal.
If consummated, the trade would give Howard what he has wanted for the past seven months. In December, Howard asked the Magic to trade him to the Nets.
Dwight Howard To Nets?

After waiving his opt-out clause for next season in March, he again asked Orlando several times to trade him to the Nets, most recently Friday in his first face-to-face meeting with new Magic general manager Rob Hennigan.
On Monday, Howard told Yahoo! Sports that he would sign a long-term contract only with the Nets, but after the Nets' trade with Atlanta for Johnson, the chances of Howard going to Brooklyn appeared dead.
In fact, several executives involved in the talks privately said there was no chance of Howard being traded to the Nets.
But the two clubs eventually rekindled talks about a potential Howard trade.
With the Nets thought to be out of the picture Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers, who can offer Andrew Bynum, the Hawks, who can offer Al Horford and Jeff Teague, and the Dallas Mavericks, who could sign Howard as a free agent next summer, had emerged as the likeliest destinations for Howard.
Of course, any of those scenarios could still play out as the Magic are considering all their options.
Blatant posturing. Without the Brooklyn threat, Magic lose all leverage. Brooklyn has a -5% chance to land Dwight. Dallas slightly better with the -2%.
So much for Dallas. Dwight won't wanna go there with no D-Will and Terry now....
can you sign&trade two of your FAs for one player? doesn't work under the old CBA really have no idea if it does under the new laws tbh
