Kobe's an great RS stat padder and an remarkable hero shot airballer. Fortunately for him, the Lakers had Shaq, than Gasol/Bynum/Odom/World, and now Pau/Nash/Howard to perform in playoff and finals.
Pau Gasol has never received a single vote for MVP in his career. Not a single one.
Here is the MVP voting the 2 years the Lakers won the Championship
It is arguable that Pau was not top 10, especially in 2009 imo, 2010 he has a great case though. Pau was not a top 10 player in 2009.
And true greats atleast get back the the NBA Finals twice in a row.![]()

True greats win MVP and Finals MVP in the same year....
Why the is he 3rd on the all-time playoff scoring list then?
Why the does he have the 2nd most 30 point playoffs games in NBA history?
Why does he have 2 Finals MVPs
Why has he won 2 Championships without Shaq? Why 3 straight Finals in a row?
Why has he won 3 Championships without Pau and dominant 6/4 and 9/7 Bynum?
He's going to be #1 all-time on that list when he's done.
Pau was fantastic today and should beast with Dwight next season...he play like he did today there's not a team in the league with a chance to stop us...
kobe couldn't even get to the finals with the best front court in the NBA for the past two years and now gets an even better front court. the lakers for its entire history had always formed some pretty legendary front courts and kobe is just along for the ride.
I would sing zippy-de-doo-dah zippy-de-day for you but instead I'll let you stew with this...
Take Pippen from MJ..how many rings?= 0
Take Manu, Parker, David Robinson from Timmy how many rings?= 0
Take Kareem and Worthy from Magic how many rings?= 0
Take Mchale and Parrish from Bird how many rings?= 0
Take Wade and Bosh from Lebron how many rings?= 0
Take Pau and Bynum from Kobe how many rings?= 3
Take Shaq from Kobe how many rings?= 2
That's it and that's all![]()
No, No, No. Stop using facts!
Stat ,
1. Why can't he win when he doesn't have the strongest team on paper and why couldn't he win at times when he did?
2. Why was he swept by the Mavs last year?
3. Why did he lose to the Thunder this year?
4. How did he lose to the Pistons with 4 HOFers and a HOF coach on his team?
I don't recall Jordan doing that after he'd rang already.
I know I'm arguing with a Spurs fan but this is too easy:
Pippen wasn't taken from MJ just as Pau hasn't been taken from Kobe. Shaq only left after the team lost to the Pistons.
1. He's been in a lot of playoff games and he shoots a lot.
2. See number 1
3. Because shaq won the first 3 and Pau didn't get his.
4. Because the Lakers still had the best frontcourt in the league.
5. Shaq
Let's look at how many times he's led his team in TS%.![]()
Kobe's been their 2nd best player since Nash got signed, and remains their 2nd best player.
LOL @ thinking Dwight will be the first option. The man has no offensive skill set.
Kobe won't be completely happy if the Lakers ring and he doesn't win finals' MVP.
in your silly quest to try and spin or defend the indefensible you answer with a pretty ing stupid response that doesn't answer the central theme of my argument..try again please![]()
again there is no logical explanation for this except the obvious...which is Kobe is just ing great...lol

Your argument is that all great players had help. Like always, your troll schtick is to use more words than necessary to get that across. You failed though, since Kobe had tons of help and still couldn't get it done.
Jordan didn't get Barkley and Thomas along with Pippen. Had he done so, he wouldn't have lost like Kobe did.
Bird didn't get Hakeem and Ewing along with Kevin and Chief. However, those people you cite were nothing before then, unlike Shaq, unlike Pau, unlike Howard, unlike Malone and Payton.
Kobe two finals MVPs... No need to go on...
1. He's won every year his team was good enough to except 04
2. Back to back defending Champions, 3 straight WC Champs
3. Thunder were clearly better
4. Injuries, chemistry problems, and a little bit of himslef
1. And MJ and Kareem don't?
2. See a doctor
3. So Pau deserved those Fianls MVPs huh?
4. And the Lakers had the best player in the league, while none of his amazing frontcourt got a single MVP vote in their entire careers
5. What did Shaq win without Kobe? I'm just using your dumbass logic.
you mad cuz we got Nash and Howard Dawg
my point is that the years Kobe didn't get it done he had no help...
Kwame who openly asked Kobe not to pass him the ball bcuz he was scared...I submit that MJ nor any great player past or present has played with a guy that said don't pass to me because I'm scared
Secondly he had smush parker, Devean George, Chris Mihm, Chucky Atkins, Luke Walton, Brian Cook, Sasha Vujacic, Radmonivich ohhh and let's throw in Lamar "inconsistent" Odom for good measure...by comparison who was Timmy playing with during this time
2008 - Bynum and Ariza were hurt DNP in the finals vs. Boston...prior to the Gasol trade I think we were like 28-13 and making a strong run to the play-offs...Pau came in and gave us that extra lift to the finals
2009 - le Yr....Bynum avg during the regular season 14 pts and 8 rbs and only a paltry 6pts and 3 rebounds during the play-offs and during the finals he avg 6 pts and 4 rebounds...I hardly call that help
2010 - le Yr. Bynum avg during the regular season 15 pts and 8 rbs...during the play-offs he avg 8 pts and 6 rbs....during the finals he avg 7 pts and 5 rbs...again you call this help from a 7-1 275 lb guy? ok
2011 play-offs he avg 14 / 9 and acting like a baby against Dallas
2012 play-offs he 16 / 11 and wet the bed against Denver and but yet again against OKC when it counted the most...again you call this help...
Don't even get me started on Pau in 2011 and 2012 we all know he wet the bed...point is Kobe has always been put in a position to where he has to baby sit players, coach players, defend their positions because they can't (defended Westbrook, Harding, and Durant) defended Ty Lawson in the Denver series...and on top of all that he has to carry the scoring load because our "All-Star" bigs either get out hustled and out played down low or the simply get pushed out the paint by shooting guards (Pau)
My Kobe is the real deal...get over being mad DIMC we got Dwight you didn't..we got Nash to feed Pau now...stop being mad![]()
Rookie of the Year and a conference championship before Kobrick, and a ring after Kobrick...
Stop crying, son... Iverson and Ring James carried equally-bad teams to the Finals...
Shaq gor jealous of lil Penny and ruined his career...Shaq has all-stars in LA (Nick the Quick Van Exell and Eddie Jones) Shaq has always had loaded teams but he couldn't get it done until Kobe came into his own - real talk![]()
What did Kobe do without Shaq?
2 Championships
2 Finals MVPs
3 Conference Championships
MVP
