The role he plays in that offense is irreplaceable. 30 years old isn't old even by NFL standards. Honky? Tell that to Hall of Famers...Don Maynard, Lance Alworth, Ray Berry, Fred Biletnikoff.

It's a tough call, tbh. WR is the most overrated position in football and if I'm a GM, I cringe at paying any WR the big bucks.

if they can get some team to cough up draft picks which saves you cash and from losing him to free agency, I think you have to pull the trigger.

Just make sure you sell it to Gisele that this will lead to a better chance at a Super Bowl in the long run.

mono said it already but the truth is their offense has no iden y without Gronknandez healthy. When either one is injured and the defense can focus more on the other one, New England's offense goes from elite to slightly above average, if that. Gronk + Hernandez being healthy during the playoffs and their offensive line getting better will determine a lot. Ryan Wendell at C and Dan Connolly at RG means there's another inevitable playoff exit where Brady has interior pressure in his face all day.
