I felt like I was in Bizarro world watching this game. Giants looked completely ready for Verlander. Worked deep into counts and laid off his filthy stuff. Made the guy work and got him frustrated early.

And Barry in' Zito. Holy . He's really locating his pitches well and keeping guys off balance - plus another RBI ...Then, Lince comes in and gives an entirely new look that kept the Tigers reeling. He's been phenomenal out of the pen

Now I get to be nervous about Bumgarner. What kind of stuff will he have? If it's bad then you'll see a reverse of this score or worse. He's a gamer, though. People forget that he closed out the Rangers as a rookie in 2010

It's going to be a long series. Highly doubt the Tigers bats will be silent for too long and they've got an awfully good pitcher going tomorrow night.

    Well I would.

Winning a WS stays with you forever along with fame and all that intails.

Women come and go. Specially with celebs. Those relationships barely last a year, tops.

I'll stick with the ring that doesn't require me to be made.

Not always necessarily true...look at how many people sell their rings and hit rock bottom after winning a championship. Unless you're a star or a HOF candidate, you go largely invisible for the rest of your life. I'm not sure if winning a le is 100% without its own issues.

i would wife that up quick-like

but, obviously dude cares. he stayed on the bench and didn't scurry off to the showers.

possible he cared too much and couldn't handle that pressure. Buck and McCarver said he looked wound pretty tight before the game. Can't be easy to listen to people talk about how you're the best pitcher in the universe and then go out and live up to it on the biggest stage

she is good, for a lover of big naturals like myself, she is good. No wonder Verlander didn't look that cut, he has them to go home to.

Agreed with you Symple, for some surely it has the opposite effect - too much pressure, especially with 06 in memory

Verlander will just have to rely on his teammates like Alex Rodriguez did.

My disappearance from last nights game certainly didn't help, so I'm going to be back tonight, . Tigers will get a 1-1 split, even though they should be up 2-0 when Verlander was the one who lost.

Last time Fister got hit by a ball? He went on to produce 6 more scoreless innings until Valverde came in. Doug plays better while being banged up.

That's how many players hit 3HR in a World Series game prior to Panda.

    Panda had a power surge.

I find it funny how Tiger fans thought the Giants weren't going to be a problem. They thought the Cards posed a bigger threat.

Series over tbh, I thought that Tiger pitching would do the job but neglected to consider that their pitching looked so good going against quiet NY bats. Meh.

Hope Tigers make it interesting, Giants looking unbeatable - 5 wins in a row

Fister was great tonight, especially after taking one to the dome, but the Tigers just look lost offensively.

Bumgarner was on and once again the Giants found a way to win by doing little things and a few big ones.

Pence fighting to get a ball into the outfield when behind in the count. Posey making a great tag after a stellar relay. Bochy making what seems like the right call in every situation. Picking off Infante. etc.

The Giants play good, solid, fundamental baseball. When you do little things right all the other breaks seem to go your way, like that bunt that refused to go foul

SF is also about a million times more relaxed than the Tigers appear to be. Just like 2010, the Giants have a special chemistry that lends itself to success. (so far)

Oh, and Romo is a boss

I'll say it again, but I still think it's going to be a long series. Tigers should play better at home and I keep thinking their bats are going to break out. Won't be easy against Cain and Vogelsong, though

Also, I don't hate the Tigers. All my baseball hate is reserved for the Yankees, Braves, Angels, and Dodgers (in no particular order after the Yankees)
