These coffee makers get their own plumbed in water supply. At least the ones I have actually seen do. Not sure of this model, but if it cannot be plumbed in, it's not for me. You put the grounds in, air pot below, and start.
I like simplicity.
Well. they were open this morning but the coffee has changed. Not as bad as Valero's but definitely worse than it was before. Guess it will have to do.
I see the simplicity of the french press eludes you. If the water is boiled either way what possible difference could it make?

Why do you think I would prefer one? I mean I want something convenient to use. Not something messy like a french press. You didn't read the link attached to the picture I furnished, did you?
If most/all other machines heat up the water, why was it a given that you had to boil the water separately on this one?

to be fair for blake, moka pots make great coffee and you boil the water with the filter.
I used one of those coffee makers for 4 years working at the Alamo Drafthouse and they are far messier than french presses, and far less simple.
Ah, yes. Nothing like the simplicity of plumbing in an additional water line dedicated to your coffee maker.
Lee, I realize that there is nothing complex about french presses, but do you suggest a certain one. I am going to get one for myself, and one for my wife. This used to be my only method of coffee a long time ago and I want to go back to it (and wean myself off of energy drinks).
I have a cheap bodum one, it works great - they are a good brand. I use it for Yerba Mate and Guayasa, since I don't drink coffee myself. I wouldn't get the lowest end one though, the filter can come unstuck from the press with a lot of use.

I use a Bodum for tea and I love it. I have one of those Melitta things but coffee out of it (and the Bodum) just tastes like dirty water to me. I suppose it's the kind of coffee I use, I can only handle the lightest, mildest stuff.
I saw these as I was browsing the french press section of amazon, but I didn't stop to read anything about it. I just did and it seems really cool. Do you have any experience with one of these?
I was considering getting one because they are highly rated. I used to have a glass one, but the plunger eventually wore out. I like this one because it seems like it is easy to clean.
I've been using one of those Keurig coffee makers, but using your own coffee in it is a hassle.
They have had Keurig at work, but they just replaced them with one called flavia and another different machine (that uses filter pods). None of them taste very good to me. I drank some of the coffee my wife brewed this weekend and it was delicious (texas pecan from costco I think). I thought I could get something like this for work.

You know what I hate. Those gas stations with walk in beer coolers.
Such a great idea, but instead of taking advantage of the increased space in the cooler, they just stock more of the beer that is already available in the coolers.
Yup that's the one, I couldn't remember the name of that street. Shame cuz it's my favorite ICEE stop too, but now it'll be Slurpee I guess...
Much better for cooling costs to have only one door tbh.
You misunderstand... they still have the various coolers with beer. THEN they have a walk-in with the same beer.
