Did you read their comments on Tony?
It basicaly confirms how underated/underapreciated he is!!!
First time I see journalists appologising...
Yeah, I mean, ANYONE can score 30 points in a game on 56% shooting. :eyeroll

LOL UNDERATED? really?
I dont see what this ball hog is doing that seperates himself from the other scrub pgs in the league playin on scrub rebuilding teams, he is clearly benefiting playing on a stacked overrated team with a overrated coach at the helms...
Props to Tony. Well deserved for one of the most underrated players in league history. The guy is the heart of this team right now.
I know, it took them a long time but they're finally talking about him. Obviously they wanted to ignore him (or anything Spurs related), but now, with the All-Star nod, the PoW, PoM and now this, I think he's getting some recognition.
All he has to do is keep doing what he's doing and he will continue to get recognized.
Props that's a nice recognition that just a few spurs players have had![]()
Parker shouldn't be behind Carmelo.

Per 36 (only way to really compare).
Carmelo has 5.2 more pts and Parker has 5.6 more assists...do I have to go further?
Ok then...FG%...little difference there in favor of Parker...45% vs 53%...not even close...almost 4 more rebounds for Carmelo.
Besides that, Carmelo was injured, not very MVPish (I can make up words)
Absolutely, that's an interesting pov
It must really hurt all the Parker haters and critics to see him play so well and be so respected by coaches that he makes the All-Star roster in a Western Conference that has so many fine PGs that were left off.
Is that what he did against the Thunder in the playoffs last year? I'm sorry that I hold him to a higher standard and that regular season awards mean jack at this point.
I won't think Tony is underrated until he carries this team as far as it can go and doesn't get turned into a wholly ineffective player over a span of multiple games.
Yeah, Tony Parker will never be able to say he's underrated until he wins a finals MVP.
The first thing to go for Parker in the playoffs is his efficiency against a team with a good defensive gameplan.
Parker slapping the face of his biggest critics!!! Ignorant spur fans who hope for him to fail.
No. He only outplayed Refsbrook in the WCF last year. That's all.
This just in: Parker isn't God. Let's trade him.
u actually think he outplayed WB wcf? only thing he did was call the idiot out and didnt do in that series, call it what u want whether brick was outplayed or not, it was 2 clowns trading baskets and the brick got the better end of it cause his team won...
Nobody's hoping for him to fail. Just hoping for him to show up when it counts. Give him credit for the Finals MVP in '07. He needs more moments like that even if he isn't going against a rookie or hobbled player.
TP was great in the playoffs, the only problem was that OKC had two great players.
Gee, I don't know, let's see:
Parker's WCF stats: 21.5 ppg, 6.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 TOs, 1 steal, on 48.1% shooting.
Refsbrook: 18.2 ppg, 7.3 assists, 5.8 rebounds, 3.3 TOs, 1.5 steals, on 37.8% shooting.
Parker also shot 80% at the stripe compared to Refsbrick's 74%.
Man, yeah, that's tough. It's almost like Parker scored more at a higher efficiency while turning the ball over less.
One of whom now is a Rocket.![]()
too focus on stats man, look at the backdoor sweep man....same ty tactic from day 1 keep on gettin expose by closing lanes, chuckn a bigger player on the clown
backpedaling
"hurrr Parker got outplayed"
*stats*
"hurrr backdoor sweep!"
Tony's awesome. Way to go Tony!
Funny part is that his average grade by timvp is still 87.7 or so for the season. And that's on a season where he's likely to finish top 5 in the MVP vote again.
