Blair has lost a lot of weight. It's not that to hard to see.

I wouldn't get my hopes up regarding Baynes getting rotation minutes this year at all. Its just not looking like Pop is even willing to give him garbage time minutes. That said, I'm curious as to why we pushed to acquire him midseason if we weren't planning on using him yet.
Yeah I know, I just like saying playbaynes. I think they went to acquire him for next season. With Bliar leaving after this season, Baynes should really take his minutes next season. Just like with Kawhi, I believe Baynes has the potential to play somewhere around our expectations. He just needs the minutes to adjust, properly.

If Blair would play angry, stop trying to be a star, and just do the one thing he did well when he came into the league (rebound) then he could be an important player. ...................... Not gonna happen.
Yeah, Blair needs motivation to play well, sometimes. He did well when he first joined b/c he was mad that all other passed up on him b/c of his no-ACLs. If we trade him, he'll probably play good for whoever, then he return to regular ole' Blair after a while.

Blair hanging on is likely an indication that Pop doesn't think Baynes will be able to help this year tbh.......

Maximum Sports ‏@MaxSportsSA Happy Walters, Dejuan Blair's agent on client not being traded "Obviously I am disappointed that we were not able to get a trade done..

but I trust Pop and RC and I know they tried their best and have Dejuan and the Spurs best interests at heart.

When Pop needs Dejuan, he'll be ready to contribute as he always has been."

I don't think playblair's a Patty fan. He or she was here before Patty even joined the team.

He needs time to learn/practice. It's not like Diaw or Jackson who was already in the NBA.

Grizz is here for the season and I don't have a problem with it now that we have Baynes when we need a big fella to lay down some law. Also, you simply don't trade at the deadline if you have a team with chemistry this good, unless that trade fills a glaring hole.

It looks to me like we've found a backup PG (De Colo), and a big, mean beast of a kid (BANE!!!), and no-one out there could deliver a player that would've been a difference maker for in return for Grizz or any of our other expendables. Besides, Grizz knows the system, he's been pretty good in limited minutes this year, and he costs very little, so it doesn't hurt to keep him for the season.

Instead of trading for trading's sake, the Spurs FO has put faith in the system and the guys they have to take them as far as they can go. This is the Spurs' Way.

For mine, this team has a real chance at a championship, just like last year. All we need now is for OKC bigs not to shoot 22/25 EVER AGAIN, and things might turn out the way we want them to.

Why, the Spurs let Anderson walk for nothing, signed him for a while to shore up the wing depth when KL/Jax were out, then promptly cut him when Baynes looked to be available.

Blair might have a similar trajectory.
