Memphis was pure defense that year, they had some great perimeter defenders and played selfless plus Zach Randolph was having a monster season that year
    Conley, Tony Allen, Shane Battier.

He made that statement based on how they've been playing lately and injuries. The Spurs right now look and play like a bottom-feeder playoff team and it's possible they won't change that until the playoffs begin. Lakers are a bad team but they have 4 All-Stars and the refs/Stern in their back pocket. Luckily they more than likely won't meet in the postseason so this is all moot.
Did you happen to see portland score 69 in the first half against the lakers last night? And this is a the whole laker team even artest. We will get so many open shots it's not funny.

We know for a fact Parker will play in the first round. He can play now if needed. What is the Lakers biggest weakness??? Defending quality PG's. Parker would shred LA. He would open up our outside game. I don't fear LA one bit.

Johnson is a part owner of the Lakers, for god's sake. His analysis, is ALWAYS biased.

TBH, if Pop would give Manu some of whatever Metta World Peace was taking the other night for pain medication, Manu could single-handedly beat the Lakers.

Don't get freaky...I'm just kidding about putting Manu on pain pills. Pop would never do it and I wouldn't want him to even consider it. But did you see that interview with MWP after the last game? He was loopier than usual, and for him, that is pretty loopy!

Lets be honest. If we are missing Manu, Diaw and Jackson and Parker is only 50%, we could definitely lose to the Lakers.

so Denver(#3 team) is a gimme, but LAL would be dangerous?
Spurs fans of all people should know seeding is not the end all, be all. Where did I say Denver was a gimme? I said I think it's a guarantee the Spurs would beat them in a playoff series.

LA is a terrible match up & is getting healthy heading into the playoffs. Also lol at Eric b lolling at the clippers.

That's the weird thing about Spurs fans. It's not like the team is fully healthy and people are dogging them. They are incredibly injured & that's just reality. It changes the variables.

I've been high on Spurs all year, but since Parker went down I've become very pessimistic.I just don't think this is our year, too many injuries late in the season.

With Parker it's a fluke injury, twisting an ankle by landing on someones foot, but Manu is deeper. Manu has been getting injured just playing basketball by pulling muscles, back spasms etc, gotta worry about him going forward.

He's right tbh. If the Lakers hold on to the 8th seed and the Spurs continue to play like dog but somehow end up remaining 1st, the Lakers will win in 6. However, the chances of both happening are small.
Great joke, Not my type of humor but...

pop was probably thinking the same exact thing..

    i mean, blair on mcgee...

basically, the spurs are going to be wobbling into the playoffs. pop would much rather play a young rockets/warriors team with no experience than the lakers. pop is a chicken . probably gonna cost us another le with that weak loser mentality.
To be fair he didn't cost us 4 championships in 9 seasons.

Spurs aren't playing well and have injuries so I see nothing wrong with not being high on their playoffs chances.

Saying that, Spurs facing Lakers this Sunday makes it unlikely they will face each other in the playoffs. If Spurs lose that game, they will have a hard time at getting the 1st seed. If Lakers lose, they might end at the 9th seed. And since one team has to lose that game...

They were injured earlier in the year and it didn't prevent them from winning games.

I am just hoping and praying LA doesn't make the playoffs. One, it would be hilarious, but two, just don't want to deal with them.
Yes, I hope they don't get to the playoffs, not because I'm worried about them, but for the reason above. What would be even funnier, is if they (err, I mean Phoenix) gets the overall number one pick in the draft.

One thing I do know, if the Spurs and the Lakers meet in the playoffs, Hack-a-Howard will be taken to new levels, and the league will change the rules next year because of it.

The Spurs don't want the number 1 seed and the possibility of meeting the lakers. They are as afraid as their fans of meeting the lakers in the first round.

Lol rascal with the fail as always

Magic Johnson hasn't watched 1 full Spurs game all year. It's quite obvious. He is talking out of his ass.
He hasn't? I guess you are very close buddies

Not hard to figure out when he says things like " The Spurs have zero athletic players outside of Parker"
