Scalabrine has actually hit clutch shots in the playoffs before.
It does. Not because the player would be in the rotation, but because, what's the downside? They've got the open roster spot, their intent is presumably to still go four rounds (though with this decision, I question that; not because of his on court play, but because I see it as symbolic, like when they gave away Ratliff in '10) and they've got guys dropping like flies at the moment. The odds of whoever they bring in making any sort of meaningful contribution are extremely slim to say the least, but still, the team should be equipped with a reasonable number of bodies at each position just in case.

If Pop has a big sitting on the dam bench when everyone sees the lineup of Blair an Bonner suck an he choose not to play Baynes! Why an the think they gone sign some unknown player who hasnt had one day of spurs practice!?! In the game against the Kings- Pop tried every lineup to make sure Baynes didn't get in. But someone else just pose to jump in an make a difference? Lmmfao
he'll get his chances with diaw out and duncan getting rest.
how about raja bell ?
Raja was on Utah's roster, even though he never played a game, until after the release for playoff eligibility deadline.
No biggie. He's ing done, anyway.
Don't think they'll sign anyone. Even if they do, do you think they would see the floor much, seeing as how Baynes' PT has been handled this year, Splitter two years ago. Get ready for micro-ball!!!
Speaking of Brown, since a couple of people have mentioned his name, here are his stats with his current Euro team;

Tracy mcgrady?
Just noticed Tyler Wilkerson isn't playing tonight in game 2 of the opening round of the NBDL Playoffs (he has played the last 3 games). He has had stints with the team before, could be possible.
Unless the boxes are wrong, he hasn't played since March 21.
Couple of decent SF types just finished their D-League seasons, but no immediate help.
You are right for some reason I was thinking it was March, lol, and even then the days don't match the month I thought it was.
If they're going the D-League route, I'd take a look at Tony Mitc and see if his head is on straight.
What about Demetris Nichols, didn't his name get mentioned a few times a while ago.

Nichols is a good shooter with the right size, but not much else to his game.
"Mike Finley. In crunch time it will be Neal, Finley, Bonner, Blair & DeColo. Finley is a fine low post defender and a consummate professional!"
d leaguer or somebody from preseason sounds most likely to me. chump seems to be the d league expert so whoever he likes.if they break the mold and go with that donte greene guy, i'd be pretty optimistic. he sounds like a spurs kinda personality.
ps - i knew the lack of depth behind leonard/ sjax was an issue. casspi on the roster would be pretty nice right about now.
lol d league expert
The only reason the Spurs would sign someone is to soak up minutes in these last two games. No chance of a player signed this late getting any playoff burn.
Going from an earlier post by Bruno, a minimum contract at this point would cost the Spurs around $15,000. I'd be fine getting a SG/SF and playing them 44 mpg each of these last two so that Pop can rest the important players. The Spurs' seeding is basically locked up anyway.
If only we still had our Centerpiece...

lol making it about me again. I understand you're obsessed with me.
It's just a suggestion if they go that direction, seems like an NBA vet signing would be more helpful at this point.
We sign Speedy Claxton. Tbh...
Emiliano Carchia @SportandoBasket 1h Grizzlies likely to sign Donte Greene http://www.sportando.net/eng/usa/nba/54
Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA 1h The New York Knicks have signed Quentin Richardson for the remainder of the season.
