You can't imagine a situation in which the restaurant was legitimately full, and Parker didn't want to wait around so they left. And when the owner was asked about it via twitter, he saw it as an opportunity to create good will with the locals by posturing that he had told Parker to off. Seems perfectly imaginable to me.
