If Heat in 6 - Lebron

If Spurs in 7 - Parker

you have to go with Parker you cannot expect Duncan to outplay Parker and win the series at the same time. It's just not logical.

feel free to state why you disagree

it's just not logical to expect Duncan to outplay Parker in the Finals and at the same time win the series. That would mean, not only Parker maintains is level, but Duncan raises his level even above Parker's, that is a few notches up. It is silly to think 37 year old Duncan can do this. But feel free to disagree and this time try it without posting silly images

It's going to be Tony or Lebron. There are no other options.

Don't really care as long as we win but I'm pulling for Timmy.

Going with Duncan. It would be awesome if he won Finals MVPs 14 years apart (1999 and 2013).

I have no idea why so many people are claiming Lebron and Parker are the only options, tbh..

Duncan is the Spurs biggest strength in this series, while the Heat have several options to throw at Parker, along with their elite defense against pick&roll ball-handlers..

If the Spurs win, the result could very well mimic the 2007 result in the Finals, where Duncan was clearly the best player on the team but Parker had the mismatch and subsequent Finals MVP..

I would love for Timmy to get another Finals MVP but the machine runs most efficiently when Parker is at his best.

    2. It would provide perfect symmetry that each of our 'big three' won one MVP in the Championships they have won.
Nope. Tim won two of the three they were winning together.

I may sound too new here, but is it possible to have a Finals MVP come from the losing team?

Sorry I was unclear. I should have said "at least ONE per person". That was all I meant.

It happened in 1969 when Jerry West won Finals MVP but lost the series. That said, its never happened since.

Green and Leonard (with Duncan still an outside chance) are our leading candidates as of Game 3.
