It was. Full 24 sec for shot, and then about 2 sec before ball went down the basket.
Yeah this was totally interpreted the wrong way.

The Heat really should complain about things they can potentially influence in the media for the next game. ing about a shot clock violation ain't gonna do a damn thing for them. Obviously none of them ever watched Phil Jackson after a playoff loss to the Spurs...
most fans here are imbeciles, tbh..
There were ref conspiracy threads before the series even began..
Anyone who thinks it was a 26 second shot clock is being simple-minded. He released the ball with probably less than 0.1 seconds left on the shot clock. It takes time for the ball to travel through the air, bounce, then go in. You know, like two seconds or so?
It doesn't teleport from Parker's hands and to the bottom of the net. Anyway, if Spo (or anyone else) is trying to act like there was some trickery with the shot clock, they need to have their brain checked.
Just like how LeBron couldn't figure out how the Spurs has 21 second chance points and only 6 offensive rebounds in his post game interview. Because, you know, it's impossible for the ball to be blocked the recovered (not a rebound), or for the shot to miss then go off a Heat player on the rebound and go back to the Spurs.
Y'all need to think outside the box for a change.
That's an easy call. The are you talking about? Are you actually doubting that certain teams receive more ref help than others?
I thought the reffing was reasonable enough, only slightly tilted in favor of Miami, which I fully expect the entire series even at home. Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be and nothing even close to resembling the travesty of last year's thunder-spur series.
That said, Wade should have been called for the charge and also that obvious travel. Stern/refs have always loved their little cinderella boy Wade.
The refs are the reason I neglected to make a prediction on this year's finals. But if game 1's officiating carries through the rest of the series, I say spurs in 5. Wade and Bosh had the best games their going to have in the series and the heat had all of their 3 point specialists plinking away and still lost. The spurs have a plethora of options to throw at Lebron. They have no answer for Parker and he is playing at an MVP level. Lebron on Parker at the end of games is easy to counter with a simple P&R. Lebron is fast, but isn't quick enough to get his 260 lbs around a screen. Of course he could flatten the guy setting the pick but that would be too obvious. The heat's best hope is to double team Parker up high and hope he turns it over, but that is a crapshoot at best and may end up backfiring.
Why look for things to be offended by after a great road win?
Tbh I saw Manu do the same in a crucial possession.
I firmly believe in bad officiating. Bad refs are part of the game like in any other sports. But saying that Stern orders the Refs to favor big markets (like i read every day on Spurstalk) sounds just stupid to me. If the NBA really wanted to favor big markets, there are much more effective, less visible, less risky ways to do that.
A league which aims at favoring big markets will never build its system on the Draft and the Salary Cap. It just does not make sense to me.
Clearly LeBron is better at reading a box score than his coach is.
I totally disagree with this. They went for the two point basket. You always go for the tie at home and the win on the road. They would have run the exact same play with maybe even less time after they got the ball inbounded. By the way, they didn't run a play. "Get Lebron the ball" is not a play.
Think that Wade trip was intentional? Dirty bas ..
Love that Phantom camera! EPICNESS!
Damn, Tony... push off much?
I hadn't see this slow-mo version, and these camera angles. Bosh was out trying to belly-bump Tony, and I don't blame him for pushing off. On the last one, where he "fell" down (Wade tripping), LeBron was grabbing at his arm, and it looks like Tony pushed off on LeBrons nutsack.
Parker not trying to draw the foul makes it a little more impressive. Lebron was in the air and Parker just would have needed to lean in slightly while shooting and the refs would have no choice but to call the foul.
so Haslem's foul on Manu was just a regular hard foul?![]()
Nothing he says should be taken seriously. He is the worst coach to ever win a championship. Riley shaved his pet monkey, put him in a suit and gave him a clipboard.
Watching the game replay, "technically" he's right. The Spurs got the ball at 31.3, and Miami got it back at 5.2. What he is not allowing for is the flight of the ball, and the bounce off the backboard and rim on Parker's shot. The ball doesn't have to be through the hoop in 24 seconds, just out of his hand.
What a bunch of whiners on this board. He said it seemed like 26 seconds. He wasn't saying there was anything wrong. The game was called about as fair as you are going to see. They basically let both sides play. For every non-call against our guys Heat fans can counter with times LeBron did not get a call. If the Spurs had lost this game they only have to look at their miserable 3 point shooting. If anyone thinks that the Spurs should be blowing out the Heat they just don't understand how closely matched NBA teams are--especially once you get to the Finals.
