Well said! Manu need to play the style of basketball he knows without fear or doubt. I have no doubt he will be there on Sunday as determined as we've ever seen him. He will probably have a much better game. I think game 3 he showed what he is capable of at this stage, as he did provide a spark off the bench and possibly inspired the young players. He knows whay he needs to do.
My optimistic perspective: tied 2-2 -- where this series would be at this point had both teams took care of business at home. Winner of game 5 wins the entire thing, imo.
The Spurs need to come out desperate. This is the one perk of the 2-3-2 format ... we get to play at home for the chance to be one away.
That's probably exactly what we will see.
I still believe the Spurs can win this series and I guarantee the Spurs win on Sunday and Ginobili will be a key reason why.
That's the downside to Pop treating Ginobili like a china doll. It takes away his aggressiveness. He believes we have enough weapons so he's looking to pass. The problem is the other team realizes that and they play him for the pass. He needs to be more aggressive so that he's less predictable. He's not even looking at the rim right now. He's also needs to stop telegraphing and jumping before he makes those passes.
Truth.... unfortunately his interview today was not too promising, as again he was talking down scoring. As long as he is no threat offensively he will get picked off and easily read. He needs to shoot the ball and drive for his passing to be effective. I think we'll see a more aggresive Manu on Sunday despite what he said today.
P.S. Manu did talk about playing aggresively and being a threat...
