There are no "flukes" in the NBA playoffs. It's impossible to "fluke" your way through 7 game series.

Calling the Mavs a fluke with the teams that they had to beat, considering that Dallas didn't have to play a single game 7 in the entire playoffs is quite ignorant.

The spurs looked even better out there than the 11' mavs tbh, and you heard it first hand from a mav fan. I just aspire to being a truthful person and I'm never gonna pretend like the Mavs would've beaten the 13's spurs in a landslide victory anyday just because I'm a mav fan. Spurs won the first game in Miami and they beat them again in 3 by the 3rd biggest gap in the history of NBA finals, but the result was opposite to 11 why? because mavs were more determined and more hungry to win, and they had the mentality of a giant (which was also a big reason why Miami won this year). We could've given it up after losing game 3, knowing that only 20% teams could come back and win in the finals history after tying the series 1-1 and losing game 3. Miami could've given it up too in game 6 when they were 5pts down with less than 30 secs left. But neither team did give up, we kept fighting till the last sec and our efforts and persistence finally paid off.

Spurs are also a respectable team and they pulled a good fight against miami, but like i said many times, you can't expect kids and role players to win you the championship

I've done some thinking and meditation on the whole Spurs choking this year. My conclusion is that this year's Spurs choke job was worse than my Mavs in 2006. My Mavs in 2006 only won 2 games while the Spurs won 3 games and were 30 seconds away from a championship. If Manu or Leonard makes their free throws, the Spurs are champions. Anyways. my Mavs beat the Heat in the Finals. They won their game 6 in Miami.

Imagine the 2013 spurs just having to manage one deadly 3 point shooter or you could make it two in Chalmers. You can't really say that your 2011 team is better than our 2013 just because yours beat the Miami. Totally different roster.
