Will miss and always remember my Gary 'balls of steel' Neal tbh. He had his flaws but s as fearless as him are hard to find, especially for 800k a year.

count me in the "will miss Neal but hope he gets paid better elsewhere" category. He did so much stupid , but he was fearless at scoring and had some great moments for us while getting paid very little. I appreciate what he was able to do for us and hope he gets a good paycheck.
Gary Neal was a feast or famine guy. When he was on, he was great, but I won't miss the turnovers, bad rotations and bad shooting nights. If Neal wasn't sinking 3s, he was pretty much useless. Belli can replace what Neal had (fearless, clutch shots) plus a longer body, slightly better d and better handles. So long, Choo Choo. Thanks for the memories.

You guys are nuts if you think Belinelli would be a better defender, playmaker or better at creating shots for himself.

No hate from Gary Neal here. Considering the small salary, the fact that he carved a career out of nothing, and the fact that he had mad confidence? I'm a fan regardless of the bad play from time to time. I'll miss him indeed. He was an inspiration. He was a living testimony for the cliche phrase, "you can achieve anything you want to achieve if you set your mind to it." Ball out homie you deserve it for real.

Even though Green made more 3's, I thought Neal's game 3 was more impressive than green's. It felt like Green hit all his shots when the game was out of hand, but it was Neal who was hitting bomb after bomb to give us the big lead in the first place

He is a much better passer, and he is much better at creating his own shot. Watch some film before you post.

I hope Neal is back with the Spurs. When he got hot, he was awesome. He's a better offensive player than Green but Green plays much better D. Way too much hate going on for Neal.
Defense wins championships so Green is more valuable.

Neals driving was underrated. He has pretty good touch around the basket, that little runner was money imo. He also has a nice pull-up after faking the three. You guys act like hes Danny Green or something, my Gary could put the ball in the hole alot other ways than just threes tbh.

I liked Neal. He was a gamer for his limited skill set.

All in all, he did well for the Spurs and I don't fault him for his bad back up point play. He's not a point guard, but was asked to play point guard in the NBA.

He could do everything on the offensive game, very underrated I agree.

He was good enough at his price. I'll definitely miss him, he made some great shots. The one to send the Clippers game into overtime made my day.

He could do a lot, but his preferred play is taking a long, contested jumper.

I've watched Belinelli play alot. There is no doubt he is a good shooter but offensively he isn't as fearless as Neal and he sure isn't a huge upgrade defensively. I just don't think he's an improvement. I'd rather see Neal back or an upgrade tbh..
Neal has finals experience and corporate knowledge. No sense in getting rid of him for Belinelli imo..
