If he wanted to really thank Tim, he should have beat Miami so we could have our ing fifth trophy.
We should have had our 5th trophy regardless, blew that.

Yeah, he looks like a guy who shouldn't be benched in the last minute of a Championship-clinching game...actually, wait a minute, he never did.

Thanks. Well, that means that, at least, Ian is still in good terms with the organization...and is intelligent enough to understand his game has still a lot to be desired.
I always liked his athleticism and had great expectations for all the years he was with us. But is really difficult to overcome his lack of basketball instincts...
What is weird, is that both are Indiana front court players...too much intelligence with the enemy?

What I see in basketball is that everybody knows how to play the game at the NBA level -- the question only becomes who executes better (which an individual can practice towards, but not really learn or "steal").

Imagine them on the same team together, it'd never happen but it's a cool thing to think of.

It is amazing how the passion burns so strong after all these years. When his body started to fail him a few years ago instead of accepting it and feeling as if he'd done enough and maybe it's time to go, Tim dug in and whipped himself into the best shape of his life. Tim was determined to extend his career and get back to a high level of play even when everyone said he was done..

In 011 most of us thought he was done honestly, then he came back stronger than ever! He is a true LEGEND.

You know how Robinson is a minority owner and a front office person with the spurs now? Do you have any reason to think that Duncan wouldn't get a similar offer and opportunity? I am pretty sure that Duncan if he retires in 2015... (not sure he will if he is still compe ive, why not get paid a few million a year to put up numbers toward all time leaders as a bench player/coach) will still be a major part of the spurs family.
Pure speculation. There's no reason to imagine Duncan becoming a very minority owner of the Spurs. Nobody has the faintest clue what Duncan will do when he retires. And who would be selling the shares for Duncan to buy, even if he were interested in tying up some money to earn perhaps little?

I've already gone on record in saying he doesn't retire yet.
He has stated many times that he wants to play until the tires come off.
It would not surprise me, in fact I bet he does sign up for another two years when his contract is up, barring a serious injury.
This is the DRIVE FOR FIVE!!!
