    This troll would actually have some potential if it weren't obvious who it is.

    Yep, it's not like they ever had a 18.9999999-0.0000001 team with Welker or anything crazy like that.

    Actually tbh it's more like "at least most of 07 Brady's TD passes were legit throws and bombs, not Peyton checking out of a Moreno 1 yd goal line run 2-3 times a game to stat pad"

    and yet Manning's YPA so far this year (8.8) is higher than Brady's in 07 (8.3). Still not at his 04 level (9.2)

    comparing some of the greatest passing season the league has ever seen is something any football fan would be willing to do. doesn't mean anybody here is obsessed. i enjoy talking football overall. too bad nobody besides me comments in the raiders thread, so i guess while i'm on this site i'll discuss whatever topic is at hand. just so happens in a year like this, manning-brady talks come up quite a bit

    if he's getting all the yards and throwing it down the field (on pace to break yardage record too), don't try to discount that because his td throws are short ones

    When Manning initially broke the TD record in 2004, he had far more cheap TD passes than he has this season. The only reason I'm in Manning's corner as far as taking back this record is concerned is because Brady plays for the ing Patriots. I have a lot of respect for Brady because a lot of people bag on him for not being able to win the Super Bowl without a stacked defense, but he gets his team to the playoffs every year now. He's basically become Peyton Manning. But the Patriots can a duck.

    Houston for not selling out to go after Peyton.
    Peyton wouldn't have tried to Favre the Colts like that. I think the reason he stayed in the AFC was so that he could play against the Colts without Favreing them. That about not wanting to ELIminate his brother from the NFC playoffs is a massive smoke screen.

    The decision was always:

    Luck = 22 years old, $22M for 4 years and likely that he develops into a long term elite QB

    Manning = 36 years old, $23M just for 2012 and uncertainty of regaining his arm strength and remaining elite

    Easy decision. If Manning wanted to stay a Colt forever, he shouldn't have lost Super Bowl 44.

    I think Gisele is secretly a Steelers or Colts fan who thought "hey i'll seduce Tom Brady, marry him, and then force him to get gy haircuts and wear stupid outfits so he's just a constant source of embarrassment to his fans, all the while showing up to Super Bowls and causing him to choke like a then cry to the media about his ty teammates to cause locker room tension.

    Any of the Superbowl years > a team that lost in the superbowl.
    Actually that's dumb to make it so black and white. All it takes is one game (or one miracle catch on the side of the helmet) and by your logic that means one team's roster is automatically worse than the other. Also by that logic, the 2007 Patriots are the 48th best team in NFL history

    I'm not sure there's ever been a player in any sport that's been so beta in real life yet has some alpha on the field like Brady.

    Getting pussy owned by a beautiful woman doesn't automatically make you alpha.

    In fact, I'd say that since the dawn of time, pretty pussy has turned many an alpha into a beta.

    Manning need 18 touchdowns in 7 games to break the record. seems like a lock at this point. the only question is, by how much will be break the record?

    I'd say the odds are in his favor but not a "lock" just yet. He still has to play the Chiefs twice, and throwing 3+ TD passes against that D isn't easy. Also, he could be sitting on 47-48 TDs heading into week 17, and his team might already have the AFC #1 seed locked up. Does he play just to go for the record? Should be fun to watch. I think he gets it, but I'll wait a few more games to consider it a lock.

    he still gets the raiders once. thats a guaranteed 4 imo. that means he needs 14 in the other 6 games

    Foles had 7 in Oakland, so 4 may be a lowball figure...

    KC: 3
    @NE: 3
    @KC: 2
    TEN: 4
    SD: 4
    @HOU: 3
    @OAK: 4

    Those last 4 games he can throw for 20 if he really wanted to. DH may be right about Week 17 though--but I think he breaks it before the last game.

    I'd be worried about that line vs KC's pass rush tho

    I think they matchup pretty well with the broncos which can't be said about most defenses in the league this year

  25. #75
    I'm worried about Clark against KC, unfortunately..

    Broncos will have to keep an extra TE to block and limit Sweet Julius' snaps, which will hurt the offense, tbh..they should be fine, though, should be an easy W..
