And here's the answer to that non-existant post:

epends what he wants to do.

For web animations only: Macromedia Flash

For TV/Video and compositing: Adobe After Effects

For 3D animations: Maya or 3D Studio Max

I'm not sure what the 3D softwares cost in the US so a grant might not be enough. But it should easily cover for the other two softwares.

hey slomo I notice many programs I burn off the net are 740 to 800 MB when the average CD is 700 MB do you think they do that on purpose?

and should I delete some of the files so it will fit?

I downloaded Movie Maker , Max 3d studio, cartoon maker, toon boom, adobe 9.0, FX dream suit, Strata 3d,and Adobe CS,

Right now I am waiting on Adobe LiveMotion

Well technically I'm not. I was made an Admin so I could update graphics on this board. The only way for me to do it directly was to give me administrator access - so although I can, It's not my place or job to edit posts or moderate the forum.

I hadn't noticed the problem But it safe to say that deleting random files is NOT a good idea.
