I've been here since 2008 so I was here in 2011 when it went down. We are about 100 miles south so it was
only about 6.6 for us on base. Still, to see the fear in their eyes was a sight to behold. It's like when I was stationed in Washington state and California, tremors were commonplace here and there. This one was different.
I work at USNH Yokosuka Japan. The Navy sent several ships - including USS George Washington - out there to provide humanitarian aid. I did my part. {hand salute}
