    11. Hakeem Olajuwon to the Heat
Kids these days with their trade demands. Back in the glory days of -- hang on. Olajuwon threw one in Houston's direction in 1992? Yep. There were ongoing discussions with the Heat and many players named (DJ Rony Seikaly!) before things calmed down, allowing Olajuwon to win two les and Seikaly to stay on South Beach before taking his talents to Ibiza.

Are you thinking of summer 2001 when Pop was trying to sign Webber, and Robinson went public about going to New York to take Knicks' mid-level exception? Pop signed his ass to a two year, $20 million deal the next day.

What a disaster it would have been had Webber ever returned Pop's calls.

Weren't the Spurs really close to a trade for Damon Stoudamire in 1998?
Pretty sure we ended up with him.

Seriously, that's why he talked all that about Avery Johnson.

There are a few that really bother me currently.

    1) Pau Gasol for Rajon Rondo 2011-2012. Apparently, Boston was good with the deal going through but the Lakers wanted more. in Rondo for washed up Pau?!

    2) Dwight Howard for Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes. GSW offered the trade but Fredo said D12 to LA is a shoe in. Then after the playoffs the begging followed and ultimately another horrific move by the stellar disaster that is Fredo Buss.

Why would you need either of those losers when you've got a 5 time NBA world champion taking all of your shots? The chance at a big man who could rebound and give the ball back to Kobe was worth it over 2 guys who'd never touch it.

^At the moment of truth Kobe tried to explain to Howard what it took & what it would take for him to win a championship....L.A., Houston, bum Egypt....game 6 in South Florida.........Howard knew better.
