Stupid people have stupid takes. Wishful thinking makes people say stupid . That's why good analysis is difficult to pull off.
you realize that the same is said about Parker?
Stupid people have stupid takes. Wishful thinking makes people say stupid . That's why good analysis is difficult to pull off.
you seriously comparing C3P0's ball dominance to Parker's?
Parker does the same thing, dribble the out of it and then get rid of it with a few seconds left. Once we added Kawhi and Duncan got leaner and meaner, we're back at the top.
Parker might do the same thing a few times a game. C3P0 does that for 40 minutes
CP3 is clearly the much more willing passer... averages almost twice as many assists per game as Enrique (this is career-wise, not some fluke season)
The problem is that CP3 is the head of the snake... you shut him down, and there's no one else to pick up the slack. Enrique always had a cadre of players to bail him out throughout his career... principally TD, but also Manu, Claxton, now the Ferrari, etc...
Would you dare post such a thing upstairs?
Ringo does all the time
It's no knock on Tony... they're different players. Tony is a scoring PG... more like a SG playing the PG role... that's what Pop wants. CP3 is a different kind of player.
aint nobody comparing their assist ratio old man
sure C3P0 has more assists, he also handles the ball a lot more than Parker
the conversation is about dribbling out the clock which in this case, C3P0 does in a much bigger margin than Parker. But let's just wait less than 24 hours and see the facts speak for themselves![]()
Is that some sort of gut feeling or eye test? Because...
Tony Parker usage rate: 26.3
CP3 usage rate: 26.2
FWIW, I don't think CP3 would work as well with the Spurs... he's a guy that needs athletic finishers around him... different kind of player...
it would help your argument if the stat you mention actually had anything to do with holding the ball dribbling out the clock
Ringo is like the Linebacker II of truth bombers.
hater, not necessarily ting on your boy, just saying he is called out for the same stuff, he's just had a better team and organization around him. Until Duncan's resurgence and Kawhi's arrival, Spurs were first round fodder as well.
Cp3 deserves his mess though, he demanded black coaches and wanted LA, so you reap what you sow.
It's your argument, and whether he dribbles out the clock or not, he's basically having the exact same ball-dominating impact as Tony. He's also twice as good finding the right pass (but not as good scorer).
The problem with CP3 is that if you clobber him, nobody else can create... Jamal Crawford is ISO ball as they come.
Yeah, at least Enrique didn't try to play GM, tbh...
He will when he forces his way to the Knicks after Duncan retires, tbh
CP3 at least brought in a championship coach who didn't blow a five-point lead in 28 seconds![]()
not sure if I agree. For example MVParker's best year was last year. So I would not really attribute Spurs success last year mainly to Kawhi/Duncan. I would sorely attribute to the real reason Parker.
Parker was a legit MVP candidate last year. or was he not?
Let's be real now, there was only one legit MVP candidate last year and his name was LeBron James![]()
That's playing free agent, not GM. He didn't held the team hostage after Pop treated him like a little
Doc championship coach
That guy is in Chicago now, and Doc been selling smoke and colored mirrors since![]()
again, not comparing assist ratio. C3P0 dribbles and hogs the ball at a much higher ratio than Parker. That is fact
Similarly if you clobber MVParker, you beat the Spurs. MVParker is the head of the snake, this snake just happens not to hog the ball and run the clock nearly as much as C3P0The problem with CP3 is that if you clobber him, nobody else can create... Jamal Crawford is ISO ball as they come.
I seem to recall certain TP-to-the-Knicks trade demands being floated back in 2010, tbh
Boiled down:::Doc championship coach

Doc: 1
Thibs: 0
lol fact. At least back it up with anything other than "it is because I say so"
Right now, possibly. Depends on how much Kawhi/Timmy/Manu/Ferrari can bail him out. In the past, obviously not. Timmy was always the head of the snake.
With CP3 though, it always been like that. When he was in NO, now in Clipperland. Nobody can do what he does.
You do? I don't. Is Tony playing for the Knicks?
thinking "play harder, harder" is going to fix det defense...
sorry there is no hollinger stat on hogging the balljust wait less than 24 hours and see it live
Sure, but in the end, when it's time to wrap up the series, MVParker will have to show up. If he doesn't I see this team getting pounded in the 2nd round.Right now, possibly. Depends on how much Kawhi/Timmy/Manu/Ferrari can bail him out. In the past, obviously not. Timmy was always the head of the snake.
sure nobody can do what he does, but he ain't gona get any rings doing it eitherWith CP3 though, it always been like that. When he was in NO, now in Clipperland. Nobody can do what he does.
Nt yet, but Enrique's name will be up in lights in Times Square soon
You should be hoping for that, then your client can make even more money next contract without Enrique hogging the cap space
How come Thibs couldn't ring under Musselman, Tarkanian, Lucas, JVG, or on his own, but was magically "the real championship coach" under Doc?thinking "play harder, harder" is going to fix det defense...
dat ttt!
