Ok, but what about when they walk into a job interview. Maybe the answer is that in Cali, it's more likely that someone with this kind of beard gets hired...? But no way, it can't be. If it is, how times have changed.

Probably the more liberal culture there. In texas, 90% of the companies here are run conservatively. Dress professional and If you got facial hair, that better be stubble, or if you are gonna grow it out, it better be goatee. But in the west coast, they got alot of tech companies and most of them are run liberally. You see alot of tech companies like say Valve, the video game company, that don't even have uniforms of anything.

Dude its pretty ing amazing. Its pseudo exotic and healthy at the same time. They are super high maintenance about their food because they feel its an extension of the "hipster self" . I never thought I would like any veggie dishes but I got a burger that tasted better then any chicken I've had before only to find out it was all veggie...twas a secret recipe. Every restuarant in Seattle was amazing and everybody that lives in Texas knows how awesome Austin food is. Whenever I goto visit I always make food runs for the week.

That actually sounds pretty good, I'll need to seek out some hipster food in the area now.

I rock a beard, am employed, and don't consider myself a hipster. The gf likes it and I personally think its pretty cool looking. I hate PBR but I do like craft beer. I listen to everything no matter if its popular or is avant garde. Firstly, Calisportsfan should realize no one refers to California as 'Cali' unless they're non-native. That's like calling San Francisco by the weird San Fran. I think the populace here hides their hipsterism more than they lead on...
