You get 80 years or less to enforce your will on others then you die. It's then up to someone else to keep enforcing your will. Inevitably they will add their own spin to it because they have a wish list as well. So it goes for a millennium. Next thing you know, there's no semblance of the original wish list. That's why discovery and science are more important than wish lists.
