Lol
Mffl stretch made tons of money printing and selling LeBron to Dallas tshirts in 2010.
i agree with that. those banks are def a safer bet and all banks stocks will continue to improve in my opinion. but citi has the potential for greater appreciation imo. yes, they are riskier but still a company that isnt going anywhere. cant go wrong with what you said though.
Your idea is good imo but I just have my doubts with C. They were one of the hardest hit when the financial crisis came while JPM and WFC survived. WFC has repaid their debts to the government, and JPM... well... they were the only bank to post a profit during the 2008 Financial crisis, and still remains very profitable despite paying several penalties for the London Whale and the financial crisis.
Stock market is a gamble right now...wait till it crashes again....
Rents are high in SA.....use the $$ as seed money to buy and rehab investment property
It's been proven that the stock market goes through cycles of hit and ... the onus is on these publicly-traded companies to be prepared for a severe downturn. That's why long-term investment in blue chips is the safest bet. Investing in gimmick stocks and property is cool but once a downturn hits, the joke will be on you
The stock market is rigged...yeah you can make gains, but when the hits the fan you'll lose a lot of those gains unless you bail at the right time.....on the other hand I own 2 properties where I am clearing 800 per month and the property mortgages are being paid.. hits the fan...I sell the properties...can't sell worthless stocks...
Well yea, thats because you're investing in something tangible like real estate as opposed to a volatile virtual assessment.
It'll probably cover Devry or an ITT tech course you Canadian savage
Sucks they don't have an education system north of the wall though
I'm all into a diversified portfolio....but with the stock market already at all time highs, and fast traders taking profits at the expense of everyone else, I question whether its the right time to jump into the market with both feet....that's why my advice is to thread carefully, and jump in after the next crash...
As a general rule I avoid the markets but have to agree with Dan on this one. It's hard to justify buying in at the peak.
The financial crisis in 2008 taught us a loooot of things. I think that you can still jump on stocks becuase the market is still pretty fresh from the effects of 2008. My investment strategy is blue chip long-term growth
You could have sex with your mom.
And you'd still have $31,000 left.
the chances of that is very high since its within the french canadas culture
Which stocks in particular?
Start with the stocks that make up the DJIA because these are mostly mega-caps w/c are household names.

...seriously though Harlem, asking an internet board on how to invest $31k? The best thing to do is to save it for now and not rush into investing it. Perhaps save it till it gets to $150-200 k and then purchase property or a condo and rent it out.
^^I obviously did my research, but it's good to ask for opinions from different people..this forum has some intelligent people, tbh..
And again, this isn't money that carries any weight of importance for me, nor will it play a key factor in my future, it's free money that I don't need for any particular reason, so some of these answers don't make any sense..
How's the idea of saving to buy a legit condo? If you buy property that you can rent out to people a solid portion of your life is set. Of course you'll need more than $31 k but its a starting point to save up.
invest in koriwhat to help him get an apprenticeship in tattooing
this is the first post ive seen from you in probably a year or two, because i almost never come in here.
you are still re ed as crap
I actually bought a condo a 2 years ago, my parents have been living in it(had to move them out of the ghetto) but they'll be moving overseas this September..I obviously haven't made any money from it, so far, but the increase in value has been as well as expected, and I'll have to decide whether I should just sell it or rent it out..I've heard mixed reviews about renting out, tbh..
I wouldn't sell it, wait till the market is better. Renting it out can be a pain in the ass. Overall, I'd just hold on to the $31 k, that's the best thing to do for now. Let a business idea strike you and then spend the money.
