Anyone else notice that Bonner often seems to have his foot on the 3-point line when he shoots? I suppose we'll never know for sure, but I suspect a lot of those bricks were long 2s.

he literally has to just stand there at the 3 pt line. ibaka has to honor it leaving wide open lanes and we exploited it long enough to neutralize him. bonner can hit a wide open 3 in game 6 i believe, if they decided 0-4 meant they could help off him with ibaka back in the paint. provided pop uses the same strategy.
That's why we were blowing them out from the start.

If you had five Matt Bonners, you'd score zero points and be up by 30.

I really don't see the Bonner hate based on this game.

He has one defensive skill, which is that he can jump straight up. For whatever reason the other Spurs bigs apparently are required by the laws of the universe to bend forward when jumping, which leads to an easy foul for the benefit of whichever OKC player they are trying to guard.

He has one offensive skill, which is to nail 3-pointers, especially when left wide open. The fact that he didn't nail them this time is irrelevant. What's important is that OKC perceives him as a legit thread from downtown, and that whichever players is guarding won't sag off.

    In this sense he's delivering.

I hope that glasses wearing POS doesn't realize that Ibaka doesn't have to be within 15ft of Matty during May tbh.

    Too true.
