For Lebron James will be devastating to his legacy. To lose this year, when it was gifted with this joke of an EC, this is the stuff that ends legacies. If you look back at Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kobe, Duncan, Shaq, etc. All these s had 2-3 rings by their 10th year. This guy was supposed to surpass Kobe and then ultimately Jordan. NEITHER of which he has done yet if he loses this year.

Duncan on the other hand, is about to surpass Kobe and not even a die hard Kobe stan will have the balls to debate that.
    Have you seen LG lately

Kirby s are hanging onto Duncan's post game interview with Stewart Scott where Duncan said he played well within his "role" this year to claim that this ring does nothing for Duncan > Kobe because Duncan was merely a "role player." In usual Kirby fashion they completely ignore the importance of rim defense.

And yes Lebron is not in Duncan/Kirby/Shaq tier. He can still potentially get there but he's not there yet. Kirby 5 rings, Jim 5 rings, Snaq 4, and all without super team collusion.

How many times did we see guards pussyfoot their way out of the lane when they saw Jim? He blocked Wade and Lebron (and Bosh?) a couple of times and forced passes out of the paint.

Agreed, I have no problem with it either. Kobe acted like an ultimate got this last 2 years. Lakers shouldnt have sold out to this guy
They had no choice. No Kobe... No Time Warner deal. Kob'e 48 mil was part of the deal from the beginning.

Duncan is about 3 NBA plays away from having 7 or even 8 NBA rings. That's just hard to fathom.
It's too bad he couldn't make a 2 foot layup

Do Kobe fans just look at the box score and see a relatively solid 15-10 line and think, "Oh, those numbers aren't All-star level, he's not "integral!" Duncan is one of the main engines of this offense with his picking, cutting, being a threat from 18 feet, and his outlet passing.

No one on the Spurs averages over 17ppg anyway
They look at points. If you ever read LG they literally gauge team success by PPG. Their idea of a good team is having a bunch of ISO superstars who put up 25 PPG+ on their respective, ty teams. Nothing else registers for them.

This is Lakersground's idea of a championship caliber hyper team:

    Kobe
    Kyrie
    Harden
    Melo
    Love

    for bench

LG's thought process? Just add their PPG together and that's what the Lakers will average!!
