Lol Rockets have no PG and no bench. Dumbasses.
They wouldn't play Lin. Why they wanted him to begin with it is beyond me. They fell in love with that idiot Beverley for absolutely no reason, but, you weren't talking them out of it.

I forgot he coached the Jason Kidd Nets to the finals. That's right. I believe that was two straight seasons.

But without being exact, LA currently has about 24M in cap space (give or take a couple millions). If they stretch Nash, they get about 5-6 more (so roughly 28-30M).

Taking on Lin removes 8M from that. So they will have 20-22M left for whomever. They can maybe do Pau for 10M, Ariza for 10M and go with Lin/Kobe/Ariza/Randle/Pau? Lot's of options.
Look at Deeps, running number like a man possessed. You adorable little bas , you.

Melo is not coming to Lakers. He will stay with Knicks. Dumbass should send a quiet tweet no one will notice or care outside NY ...
This, why are people still bringing Melo's name? Melo is NY bound.

Yeah, exactly. That was his calling card. Made no sense. I couldn't see it, and honest to God, I tried. It was just not there. He'd seize up at the mid court line (like Smush Parker) along the sideline and couldn't get comfortable.

Melo has stated it's going to be between Knicks and Bulls.

And if we get Lin, we better be getting some picks too

I would say Laker fans should be happy. Not just for basketball reasons, but because there is no one worth spending their money on this year outside of Lebron. Get some assets with your cap space, take on expiring contracts and hopefully get some talented players (which Lin is). It's a very good move.

I would push if I was MIA to get LA to accept Lin/Asik + pick in a three team deal S&T where MIA gets a pick or two from HOU, LA gets Asik/Lin+pick from HOU and HOU gets Bosh.
There's no need to renege on the Pelicans. They could trade Asik to NO, Lin and a pick to LA and NO's pick to Miami along with whatever asset LA has to give up.

They would have to renege if MIA tells them the only way they do a S&T is if we get Asik/Lin (which IMO MIA should want).

That is true, Beverly is a pesky defensive player that hurts people. Just ask Westbrook. LOL

Or if LA says we only take Lin (and MIA doesn't want him) if we get ASIK too.

I agree a pick and/or Terence Jones or Montejunas

Moved on from Melo. Want to get oour pick back from PHX and hopefully if Rox want to make this happen we get a pick we can keep and develop or include in a future deal.

Why would they want them (and their $30 Million in salary) over the draft picks? Especially the high pick from New Orleans?

Lakers could really use D-Mo. He's a solid 7 footer. Never gets playing time with McHale. He wants out.

But, he can't do that on an ongoing basis, so he's worthless. The sooner you acknowledge that fact the better.

Because they can likely still get a pick from HOU while not completely being awful this year. Also, I can see LA wanting both too. LA still gets a pick for taking them off the books and allowing for the S&T, gets actual serviceable players for the year (ASIK/LIN) (which only counts as 16M in cap space and allows LA to still re-sign Pau or another FA) and it does nothing to ruin their flexibility for next year. Lin/Kobe/FA/Pau/Asik + gaining a pick and cap flexibility next year?

Not saying it's likely, but I can see them wanting that.

I agree they don't have to renege, was just outlining some scenarios where they might have to.
