Our success will be predicated on the whole team playing well but essentially Parker having a solid RS and Kawhi with more confidence when he gets the ball.
Really hope Pop works more plays for Kawhi and maybe Messina can open things up for him.

Probably not so much but Kawhi knows that he can be effective if he makes smart quick decisions with the ball so I expect him to be more determined to score this season. This is a blessing too because that will open the floor up for everyone else. Lets hope the transition continues to take place.

You're my boy here cry havoc but you do realize we haven't repeated and usually have stood pat after winning les before, right? I believe we can repeat but it's far from a given.
Long season ahead. This FO has worked magic before. We could go after an expiring contract and get a nice trade down the line.

Agreed. For now, the best move we've made that wasn't a given was getting Messina aboard.

Not sure that failure to sign outside free agents has been the major factor in the Spurs' inability to repeat. It's entirely possible that it's not even a minor factor. Duncan blew out his knee in 2000, .4 happened in 2004, smallball happened in 2006 and 2008. Pop had bigs in 2006 but refused to use them, and he simply didn't care to have them in 2008 and the Spurs got destroyed on the boards.
All of these things, and IMO, they didn't know how to play with a target on their backs.

Still the truth. Only thing coming is Baynes re-signing with the Spurs. I don't think the Spurs even wanted Marion for anything above the vet min.
