BB has a valid point, but so do the others. Personally, I have no problem with the gifs, but as I go into different threads, I see the same people and same byte snatching gifs everytime. I love my Spurs, I love sports, but I do not have to put the gif of "THE CATCH" (Scott Frost to Matt Davison vs Mizzou 1997) or "THE PLAY" (Eric pitch to Mike Stuntz, pass back to Crouch for a TD vs OU) to show my allegiance to my Men Of Corn...(Me C/O 95)... One post with the gif is plenty, the rest bogs everything down. Get a website and direct people there for your frolic.

Repeat: I'm not telling anyone to take anything out of their signatures because it's too big (though that might eventually come if people keep putting HUGE pictures in their signatures). I'm just repeating the same thing that I've been repeating over and over.

As I said twice already in this thread, Baseline Bum has a different issue than I have, but it's about the EXACT SAME VIDEOS.
They don't take close to as much space as the others.
And I don't have a problem with them because they aren't copyrighted by sports en ies which are cracking down on using copyrighted video.

I've had sigs turned off for about a year now because I am on dialup. A couple of weeks back I turned them back on and I felt like I was looking at threads full of pictures and video rather than actual threads, so I quickly ended that and turned them back off.
I agree with Baseline on this one, and I also agree with Kori. Why would you risk having her get in trouble with copyright and stuff just so you can have a little animated video in your signature on some forum on the internet?
I looked up where his video is hosted. No one has permission to use that video. So until I see the "expressed written consent from major league baseball" to TPark, I'll assume he doesn't have permission.
I just turned off signatures after viewing this thread. I have cable, but the threads still load a uva lot faster without them.

Simple Solution:
Me or Kori will go in and take out any huge files from signatures. The waste of bandwidth and the fact that the site could get in trouble is enough reason to understand this stance. Kori lets everyone do anything, so not having an animated gif that is either too large or copyrighted isn't asking too much.
I'm guessing most in here are adult enough to understand.
