I doubt the Lakers win a championship within the next 15-20 years. The NBA is evolving, they can't go out there and just buy big men like Shaq to win them 'ships cause they don't exist anymore, I don't think LA will be able to adapt. Big daddy Stern is gone too, the Clippers have a much brighter future and will be the most beloved basketball team in CA for years to come and will be the face of LA basketball.

Kobe has what 2 years left? LA won't be doing jack in that time, then you've got years of rebuilding hoping your picks not only pan out but stay healthy. (something LA has been VERY fortunate to have)

You've also got to get a quality coach which is rare as these days in the NBA, Laker fans should know the drop off in quality after P-Jax left.
