    No, I wish though...love Portland. I live in Long Beach, CA and they've been on that ban for a almost 2 years. Well, it wasn't a complete ban so I take that back. It was you pay 10 cents if you so choose to get the plastic bags.

    Christ, even here in England where recycling programs and draconian government oversights are an art form, they hand out plastic bags like they were candy. Can't get a clerk to put your damn groceries in the bags for you, but they'll give you all the plastic bags you want to do it yourself.
